Hi there! I haven't played Black Ops II and this sounds weird to me, but I was wondering if we would have to pay on Ghosts to play online. You guys know, on PS4, Xbox One, etc., it is indispensable. Anyone?

(Sorry for my English, it is not my mother language).

Activision could charge to play the game online but is highly unlikely.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Whether or not you have to pay is determined at a system level, not per-game, so since the Wii U has free online then you shouldn't have to. Now having to buy map-pack DLC's to keep up with the community, on the other hand ...

This is not true at all. A game can charge you to a monthly fee to play that game online if it so wants. That being said, the reason PS4 and XBone charge a monthly service is not because of COD:Ghost, they charge a monthly fee to "use" their own internet services and online features. They also believe that the level of security they offer is also warrant for a monthly charge. Nintendo won't charge you to play games online, but if for instance you buy a game and it specifically states a "monthly charge" then regardless of weather or not Nintendo charges to play games online or not, your still going to have to pay a monthly fee for that game. But don't worry my friend, COD does not charge to play online. And since Nintendo is ALSO free to play online, you wont have to pay a cent to play that game online.

Unless he takes his Wii U somewhere where there's free Wi-Fi, but then it's the hosts that have to pay for it.

Ya, just take your Wii U to Starbucks. You can even still use the Wii remote if you want.
