Truthfully I dont think it will be the same with the Wii U as it was with the Wii. The Wii at the time was revolutionary (no pun intended) where as so far the Wii U just seems to many like an upgrade to the Wii almost like what the Wii should have been. But who knows the outcome one thing that will make a difference will be the launch line up if its good than the system will be a hit at launch if not well it could end up like the 3DS.

People get desperate when their children are crying or constantly going on & on & on about the ONE thing they want for Christmas and or birthday... it's like the parents who physically assaulted each other trying the buy Cabbage Patch Dolls in the 80's (or Niké trainers in the 2000's) so their loved ones were not in tears on Xmas day. Scalpers play on this misery to make their money. So I guess you're right, blame the parent not the scalper.
