Topic: Buying a Wii U

So I own a PS4 and a Nintendo 3DS XL (only own Pokemon Y) so feel free to recommend games I should buy.

Moving on, Is it worth getting a Wii U right now? meaning as in there is no newer model releasing any time soon or anything of that sort? As well as are there any new titles coming out this year that you guys are waiting for aside from the newly released smash bros.

Will Monster Hunter Ultimate 4 come out on Wii u? Or should I just hold off on the wii u and stack up on 3DS titles? so hard to decide haha

This year will be quite stacked when it comes to big Wii U releases, as a matter of fact - more than any previous year. There's a lot of diversity, too - Zelda U (open world action), Xenoblade X (open world JRPG), Yoshi's Woolly World (platformer), Splatoon (E-rated shooter), Rodea: The Sky Soldier (action), Mario Maker (platformer / creation tool), Devil's Third (FPS), Star Fox (space shooter), Kirby and the Rainbow Curse (not even sure how to classify this... touch-based platformer?) and a few others. The backlog at this point is also quite robust, and the quality of the average AAA release on the platform is very high. I'd say absolutely go for it.

Monster Hunter Ultimate 4, isn't coming to the console, though.

In the end, it depends on what you want the most. Take a look at some trailers of the games I mentioned (and previously released ones, too) - that should help you decide.

You could be dead next week. Dying without ever playing Mario Kart 8 would be a travesty. Buy it now.

Well, it's up to you; and immensely dependent on the games you like. Is Monster Hunter 4 coming to Wii U? No, Capcom hates the Wii U because it isn't easy money. It's a shame, but it's the sad truth. Is another version of Wii U coming out soon? Who can say? Probably not for a while though. Wii U vs. 3DS? Depends. I much prefer my Wii U, but that's because I don't really like the small screen, controls, and slew of JRPGs I consider mediocre that 3DS offers (not to say there are amazing ones like FE:A). If you want to go with 3DS because of core Nintendo games (besides Pokemon)...don't. Every Wii U interation is MUCH better IMO. Mario Kart, Smash, Mario 3D World, Donkey Kong, new Zelda: all the cores are better.

Other than that, it has a plethora of good games, but only if they suit your fancy. Excited about Splatoon, Zelda, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Bayonetta 2, Mario Kart 8, Smash, Mario 3D World? Buy a WiiU friggin' soon! No? Then don't be afraid to stick to 3DS...though I might upgrade PS4 to a PC...oops, I promised I wouldn't start that again
