I've had the feeling for awhile now that Nintendo may actually not lower the price of the Wii U at all this holiday and, instead, offer really attractive bundles. Now that the Wind Waker bundle is rumoured I also think there will be a more casual bundle either with Wii Party U or Wii Fit U. I don't think there will be a Mario bundle because Mario sells so well on it's own.
What bundles do you want or think will happen this holiday? Do you think it's a good strategy or should they just lower the price?

They've been firm on not lowering the price anytime soon. I'm sure we can forget about that.

As far as bundling goes, it makes the better strategy for them. What better way to persuade new customers to buy a new console that comes with a game at a discounted price?

I wish I woud have waited. I regret getting the 8GB SKU, but no complaints here; the storage is mostly for VC games and I'm enjoying it!

Yea, I use my hard drive for VC games only too. It may become an issue with certain modern indie games or if they ever add GC titles but for now its good.

It worked really well for the PS360 last holiday. I don't think they could increase the price of the bundles though. The games would have to be basically a free inclusion. I wonder if they'll ditch Nintendo Land ...or make it pre-installed like 3DS bundles.

Well this is not exactly pre-installed, but my ZombiU bundle came with a download code for Nintendo Land instead of on a disc, but ZombiU came on a disc.

I think they should make a "family" bundle or something along the lines, where the Wii U comes with 4 Wii remotes instead of none at all, maybe for $100 more. Buying four Wii remotes is like $160...
Or maybe they should make a "pro" bundle with the same idea but with four pro controllers instead. (AND CALL OF DUTY OF COURSE SINCE THAT'S SO PRO)

I have at least four of each kind of controller except the pro controller (and the gamepad obviously). It doesn't really bother me now but once Smash Bros. comes out, I'm going to hate spending $150 to buy three more pro controllers for my friends. If I didn't have a Wii U already I would LOVE to have a bundle with four controllers since I almost always play with friends

I wouldn't be surprised if it went to pre-install. It was probably a download code because the hardware was already out and formatted.
The controller situation is a bit of a mess. They were right to say many people already have Wiimotes. I have four. Then they had to add motion plus of which I only own one. I don't have a pro controller either ---speaking of price drops.
I think they'll have to be very careful on the price though. Even if it comes with quite a bit , I don't know how well a $450 Wii U will sell.

It's time for NIntendo to drop the Premium Black console to £200 and maybe £250 for a bundle because with the PS4 crawling in at £350 Nintendo need to be the cheaper alternative and win over their customers this Xmas.

I have my eye on a Wii U come end of September when I have to spare floating cash, do me proud Nintendo!!!!!!
