To all of you people who are saying "Why would I want this when I have it on my 360/PS3" please stop and think. This is for NINTENDO and their audience. Wouldn't it make sense to port the original to the Wii U? Why have an incomplete collection on a console? Bringing the original Bayonetta to Wii U would not only introduce the series to core Nintendo fans but also make the series a complete and solid third party series on Wii U. It would be the first of its kind.

Because petitions work right? /sarcasm

The mere fact that we got Xenoblade shows there is hope.

Well for every petition that works there's like 10 that don't. I do hope that Bayonetta 1 does come to the Wii U, but just because there's a petition doesn't mean it's gonna happen.

To be honest Nintendo should have brought the first game over already since their releasing the sequel.

I fully support this petition signed.

Now that I think about it this COULD be the surprise announcement at the Spike VGAs Reggie hinted at.

  • Kamiya thinks something will happen next week.
  • Reggie teases surprise announcement at VGX which is next week.

COINCIDENCE?!

Probably.

Operation Rainfall didn't work. Nintendo didn't localize any of those 3 games did they? I know one was localized by Xseed, weren't the rest by separate parties too?

Nintendo localized Xenoblade.

Xenoblade was localized and Xseed localized the other two rainfall games.

We got the games didn't we? Then guess what? Operation Rainfall worked, regardless of who published it.

But back to topic: I see this being released on the eShop for $20 with Miiverse and Off TV Play.

I'm looking forward to Bayonetta 2 without having played the original so I wouldn't mind them porting it over.

I'm sure they won't even consider porting it until they see how Bayonetta 2 fares. If that does well enough who knows what could happen?

They will be laughed off the stage if they do that. Their 'big' announcement will be a Wii-U port of a niche action game that was released four years ago???

Unless they announce it as being a free download, I don't think that's what it will be.

If Bayonetta 1 doesn't come to Wii U then I hope Bayonetta 2 does a very detailed recap of everything that happened in Bayonetta 1 just to keep everybody informed.

I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

maybe it might be the Bayonetta bundle coming with Bayonetta 1 and 2 and some super cool art on the console. I mean Nintendo LOVES bundles and people like 'em a lot too.

You know the Dark Souls PC release? Yeah, that was 100% the work of an online petition.
Earthbound on the eShop? Miiverse campaign.

It might not be a bad move in terms of marketing for Bayonetta 2 either. If more people are familiar with the game, they might be more inclined to buy the sequel when it comes out.

I want this to happen. My friend had this game on PS3 and I played about half-way through and never finished it.. I'd buy this day one for Wii U. It's a really fun game and some of the challenges are ridiculous.

I would like this, I didn't play the first but am interested in the 2nd because I played it at E3

I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
