I got a great deal on a Black Wii U and I sold my white one. Can I just remove the SD card and have all my game saves and Mii info moved to the new one?
thanks
Sign into your NNID. I don't think you'll be able to get anything back from your other Wii U, though.
They haven't set up system transfers or better data management yet.

Yeah, it's usually not at the top of a person's list of things to think about unless they're super-cautious, or in the know enough to realize Nintendo handles accounts differently from virtually everyone else nowadays...
I'd say it's safe to say he/she will be able to recover their Wii U data eventually. It probably won't include save data, but everything else will presumably be intact. I'm not sure if their Wii data that they may have transfered will be there, though.
They did confirm it was happening. It's just not available right now.
If you bought anything off the E-Shop though, it's gone.
That's so stupid. When I got another PS3 I started downloading old PSN purchases within 5 minutes of setting it up.
Did you're PS3 break, by chance?
Like I said, you'll be able to reclaim your purchases eventually. They've already confirmed that it was happening. It's just a matter of waiting, probably until this next OS update.

No. I picked up the Limited Edition 500 GB White PS3 when I saw it on-sale. It is used mainly by me and my old PS3 is shared by the rest of the house for games,Netflix, ect.
@ferthepoet they did state many times this is a known issue and that they're looking into it but that's all the info they gave as far as I know....

The accounts already exists. They won't lose anything by allowing purchase claims on your account.
It's beyond obvious that accounts will be more flexible in the future. It's a matter of when, and the next OS update is probably a safe bet, especially with Miiverse 3DS in the mix.
EDIT: If you actually have a Wii U, and have been keeping up with Nintendo's info on their systems, alot of this stuff is obvious. It's gonna happen. Just wait.

So you're just sharing the account. That's completely different from a single account, which both the Xbox 360 AND Wii U have. The Wii U isn't able to do what even the Xbox 360 can, YET, but it's setup exactly the same.
Xbox 360 consoles only allow one system to be licensed at a time, and you can't change it for 6 months.
I know you can share your account with 2 systems on PSN, but it's already limited. Say you have 1 PS3, 1 PS4, 1 PSP, and 1 PS Vita, you can only choose 2 of those 4 systems to link to an account.
Sony's account system isn't setup for the near future, and that's based on the fact I just brought up.
Nintendo hasn't really said much, but Miiverse 3DS and NNIDs existing at all is a sure sign it's gonna happen.
I bought a new 3DS and as I had already sold my old one so all my ambassador games and downloads had gone,I e-mailed Nintendo and they simply put every thing back in my e-shop history of downloads.
The only thing that matters to me is that they allow to unlink a system without you having it in posession or if its broken so you do not lose all your games if your console is broken or stolen and so you can get a new console without having to send the old one to Nintendo....
