So I've been trying to get Black Ops 2 local multiplayer to work this way: One player views the TV, another views the gamepad, with NO splitscreen. However i can't seem to get it to work. I remember seeing it demoed this way, and it is one of the reasons the WiiU version seemed more appealing. Also any ideas on how to sign in as a different user, so that my brother and I can blay Bossman vs. Casemister, and not Bossmank vs. Bossmank (2)?
I really can't seem to figure this out, any help is appreciated.

I have the same issue... I'm currently using an SD television, but use an HD one more often.
I don't think it works on SD TVs for some reason, just HD TVs. Maybe the use of the composite cable? There was a piece right after launch on it, not sure if it ever was confirmed/verified by more than one person. Though, this would be more than one person now.
I am using an SD television with Component cables. So perhaps that is the issue. I will hook it up to my HD TV later and check to see if that is it. I will let you know in a few hours. Thanks @CoffeeWithGames

I heard about this on Miiverse. It upsets me very much. I don't have an HDTV. There is no reason at all whatsoever that the option should NOT be available if you're using an SDTV. That's just absurd.
