So yesterday, NL reported on a bunch of fun Nintendo-related April Fool's pranks, one of which was the release of The Binding of Isaac on Nintendo systems.

But now creators Edmund McMillen and Tyrone Rodriguez have taken to Twitter to clarify that it is indeed being released on Wii U and N3DS and will not be censored.

So are they just getting in on the joke? Or is it for real?

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

Kinda weird that it's only on the N3ds, but I got a WiiU so I'm not really mad.

Why would it need to be N3DS Exclusive?

Not that I mind, but it seems kinda random.

Apparently, the Vita version had some technical issues like framerate drops. Maybe they had trouble running it on inferior hardware. Seems like an optimization issue though. I don't know why it would be particularly demanding.

It's probably quite taxing on the CPU. And with 3D on it's close to running the game twice.

That's kind of a bad engine then.

Probably get it on the N3DS, well if the vita version had framerate drops then hopefully it would be fixed out in this...still would of liked to have this in the game.

Love it that it's coming to the systems, but I hate the need of a N3DS for it. Oh well, I guess they wouldn't release it that way if it weren't necessary.

The censored version did sound better, just because of how ridiculous it was
