Topic: Bidding Closed for THQ Remaining Assets

IGN reposted that the bidding has closed for THQ remaining assets. While the identity of the bidders hasn't been revealed yet, Crytek had shown interested in purchasing the Darksiders franchise. If they (Crytek) in fact bid for the franchise and won, most likely this means no more Darksiders games for Wii U since EA won't allow Crytek to release it for Wii U just as they cancelled Crisis 3 for the U.

I don't think EA owns Crytek. So Crytek could release it for whatever they want, unless they go through a publisher.

Well, Crytek has partnership with EA, so unless Crytek find another publisher, they won't be releasing anything for Wii U anytime soon.

Crytek only has a partnership with EA over the crisis series of games. They had a partnership with THQ over Homefront 2 but we know what crytek owns that IP now. They also have a partnership with Microsoft for the game Ryse that's a rumored Druango launch game set during the says of the roman empire.

I really doubt Crytek wants to add anything for Wii U. Considering they want to wow you by putting their content on PC. Developing for Wii U would just be an obsticle for them, due to the limitations compared to a PC.

They have an exclusive game coming out for a Microsoft Platform as well as an ios game. If Nintendo ponied up the money they would develop an exclusive for the system.

I'm hoping I just triggered the implosion. Implosions are the whole reason the internet exists. That and sharing ridiculous pictures of animals with captions completely unrelated to the original picture.
