Wind Waker had little to do with Wonderful 101. Wonderful 101 was killed because it was a tough sell that was marketed poorly (like every Wii U game until Wind Waker, maybe that's why ) and came out anywhere near GTA 5, which murdered every game in its path
Even though I will be furious when Hyrule Warriors likely outsells it, Bayonetta will probably do fine because Bayonetta did well (even if Sega overspent) and sequels do well unless they're awful or screwed over.
I do however feel it could move systems in the west. Any Bayonette fans may want to get the chance to play it. Maybe it will help to move over 100k or more for that very reason.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
I know Bayonetta coming to Wii U took part in my decision to get one, same as a friend of mine. So you're right about that. @Spoony_Tech
I'm assuming you played the first so you must be jumping at the chance to play the first one with the new skins?
I most definitely will be playing the first again and before I played the second. I need a serious refresher. I will use the skins, but honestly they don't do much for me. I was happy to hear I was getting Bayonetta 1 for Wii U. The skins are just a bonus.
I'm thinking about stalling this over hyrule warriors but I'm not sure yet. Both games seem like a lot of fun, bayonetta seems like the most quality one - yet hyrule warriors comes in earlier and discounted.
It doesn't help that we still don't know what the deal is with the bayonetta 1 game in the eu. Free, not so free, maybe free-ish - crap, this is silly.

Free. I don't know from where your confusion came from. It can't be more obvious.

Ninty Uk has said there will be different versions of the game for sale but haven't actually revealed any deatils of it and the retailers haven't had any deatils for their pre-orders.

Hopefully we'll find out in the coming Bayo Direct... Hopefully!
I guess the better question I should have asked, is what genre are these two games? xD
Hack-n-slash action. Or in Bayonetta 2's case, Climax Action according to Nintendo. The idea behind Bayonetta's gameplay is to string up combos while dodging enemy attacks in an efficient manner. An ability called "Witch Time" (correct me if I'm wrong) allows her to slow down time while dodging an attack and still attack back without breaking her combo. There's also various torture attacks and the Umbran Climax.
On a side note, while you can button mash in Bayo2, you really shouldn't as you'll get yourself killed (plus it's not as fun that way) and lose out on higher medals.
It just looks completely insane and based on Wonderful 101, it'll be about as good as it looks. But Wonderful 101 was almost too good and crazy. I had to sit down for a while after playing the whole final chapter of that game, so playing both of these back to back might be too much awesome.
