Didn't check like you did, but it was still up there in the 80's which made it a considered purchase for me. Bought it hated it, turned off of the whole series. I dislike 2 Zelda games out of what, 15? I dislike 1 Bioshock out of the 2 I have played. I'll give it a chance I suppose as one last hooray for my PS3, but I'm very doubtful at this point with all these last gen series.

Please note that Zelda 2 was...well, Zelda 2. Yeah, some...no, a lot of series that get it right first try have at least 1 crappy sequel. To get completely turned off by one game in a series that's not that long, when the first game was good, is, well, completely ludicrous. At least give it another chance. There's always the possibility they'll improve.

I completely agree. There were some games that weren't as good as others, but I couldn't get into the DS ones as easily.
I'm just saying that Bioshock 2 didn't live up to the first, so I'm not as accepting to Infinty. I am watching what will happen with it, so I'm not completely ignoring it, but I am skeptic about it now.
Just like the DS ones. I realize those aren't the only games of the series, handheld or not, but that didn't keep me from playing Skyward Sword. The same applies to Bioshock.

Forget bioshock. If you guys have a pc you gotta play system shock2

I like System Shock 2, but it's got a lot of bullcrap in it. It's hard as hell, too, and more scary than I like my shooters. Bioshock's still my preference, honestly.

...who buys and plays FPS games on a console?

I'm gonna get so much hate for that. But in all honesty, most of that hate comes from people who never really played an FPS at Ultimate settings on a PC with a mouse and board. I'm deep in Bioshock Infinite right now. Playing a shooter game like that on a console is like trying to pick a fly out of a vat of molasses- frustrating, slow, and (figuratively) messy. PS4 and the Nextbox getting Battlefield makes no difference to me and many others of similar minds- we're going to buy the PC edition for numerous reasons, foremost of which being the controls, general customization, modability, and often lower prices/better package deals. Heck, I preordered Bioshock Infinite on Steam, got Bioshock 1 and XCOM for free. That's about another 60 bucks worth of games.

Also, if you read the articles closely, I'd bet my bottom dollar the game ends up on Wii U a month or so after the initial release. And with the extended support a game like that gets, that's not too shabby. Sure, it's EA, but after they accomplish the "main" launch, they're gonna think twice about ignoring another 1million+ sales from a console base itching for FPS games.

Apparently bf4 is now coming to ps4. Sorry I cant post a link using a tablet.

You can post a link on a tablet. Just copy and paste. As for the fps on PCs i completely agree. I was a pc gamer long before consoles. I no longer have a gaming pc though so stuck with consoles. The downside to PCs is they miss a lot of good games that hit consoles just cause consoles are a bigger market. Id choose a pc game over a console 100% of time if given the choice.the dual screen setup of the wii u is cool though. Granted a pc could do it with dual screens if developers would implement it. i never found ss2 too hard but yes it is a bit scary and tense. I love that game. Note to self, build new gaming pc. I used to argue to death with my friends that only played consoles and never touched a pc game. I remember an arguement with one who swore up and down his Playstation 1 had higher resolution graphics than my pc. It's a pointless arguement that the console folks will never succumb to, until they play a pc game. I can't really think of any game i'd rather play on a console than a pc, outside of maybe a driving game as the controller sticks can be a bit more precise than the keyboard in that respect. FPS though hands down go to pc's. I used to own on counter strike on pc, but on FPS on consoles I'm fairly terrible. The mouse is just so much more accurate. Perhaps that's just what i'm used to. I agree with the load of crap comment above. I didn't have the sound on but I assume thats BF4 that was supposed to come to wii u. I'd attribute it to low system sales, but that should be expected. You can't really blame devs/pubs for being hesitant to devote time/money/team members to a console that isn't doing good. If the wii U was outselling the ps3/360 we would have much more 3rd party game support. With all the studios going bankrupt, being sold, etc, it's understandable some of them try and play it safe and stick with the huge install base of 360/ps3 where they know they will get sales. Even if the wii u is a more powerful/diverse system, it doesn't matter to them if there aren't a lot of consoles out there, as the only people going to buy the games are ones with the console. I love my Wii U but its hard to dispute the obvious. If I owned a company and saw other similar companies to my left and right going out of business/ doing layoffs, etc, I would be sticking to the most secure route to ensure my business future. Hopefully before the next gen sony/microsoft consoles launch nintendo can do somethign to bolster sales. Cause after those more powerful systems are out there, it's gonna be hard to convince 3rd parties to put out good games on a less powerful system just to utilize the gamepad which is probably more work in most of their eyes. Outside the 3ds, game pubs have been used to delivering a one screen experience for years. Forcing them to adopt the gamepad is probably asking too much for many of them. Unless system sales drastically increase before the other nex gen consoles come out, I think we as wii u consumers will be somewhat screwed so to speak. Of course , we will have nintendo 1st party games, but I forsee most developers will be going the ps4/720 route unless they have a good financial base with wii u customers, which won't really happen unless the console sales increase drastically. The Wii sold very good, but a lot of people are confused about the Wii U. Some don't understand it's a whole new system. With playstation/xbox that isn't the case. People know the ps2 was new, the ps3 was new, etc. Perhaps it's just cause of the consumers that nintendo caters to, IDK but either way something has to change. Once all these upcoming system updates come out, nintendo really needs to step up their marketing campaign. I'd understand they are holding back know as the system isn't yet where they/consumers want it to be. But once it gets improved they have to do something to boost sales. Yes the games are what sell systems, but hesitant devs/pubs aren't gonna develop games for the system if there aren't enough consoles out there to buy their games. Its a bit of a catch 22 I know, but that is what nintendo is faced with. Need good games to sell system. To get good games, need a lot of systems sold.

Its a shame it wont come to Wii U event though its basically CoD but when any big 3rd party game skips Wii U its bad news. Wii U needs a better library of games soon or people will continue to not recognize the console. This title could have atleast convinced a little kid to buy it .

@stingeragent
I understand, but it really isn't Nintendo's fault 3rd parties aren't releasing games. I honestly think we're going to start seeing more games when PS4 and Xbox 1080 come out. The Wii U is a good device, and they're working on ways to get interesting things on there.
I think alot of people forget that Xbox 360 and PS3 weren't that great until a year or 2 after their release. Nintendo has basically applied everything that made those other consoles great in the online gaming department, while still being able to make noticeable improvements. Whether the said improvements were small or not, they are improvements none the less.
All in all, I think alot of people are selling Wii U alot shorter than it really deserves. I honestly have more confidence in having a Wii U vs. a PS4, with nothing officially known about Xbox, but I will probably be more willing to go Xbox over PS.
The social, media, online, etc. stuff PS4 and offers is basically already in alot of peoples' homes in the form of Xbox 360 and PS3, so they're really going to have to figure out exactly why we would want any of these consoles at all. I'm still waiting for must have stuff like alot of people, and with stuff getting so expensive, I have no clue how I'm going to be able to even make this gen as enjoyable as the past ones.

It's funny that on a Nintendo site when it becomes known Battlefield 4 won't be on their system, 70% of the people say they don't care and wouldn't buy it anyway. If this was a Sony website and it was reported that Battlefield 4 wouldn't be on the PS4, the website would be blowing up with people saying they wanted it and that EA is garbage, etc.

The indifference of Nintendo fans towards this news basically shows why this game isn't coming to the Wii-U. It just doesn't make sense financially.

This is the thought process of every third party publisher. lol

It's not Nintendo's fault its fanbase is awful.

This is all that really needed to be said.

Like I have already said when the next COD gets released 99% of all bro dudes will gravitate towards that again and BF4 will inevitably sit on the shelf gathering dust just like before

@SCAR932

I think you might be setting yourself up for disappointment if you're expecting Wii U to get more multiplatform games once the new consoles come out. Wii U has more power than 360 and PS3, but it's a lot closer to those two than it is to PS4 and the NextBox. In two or three years those consoles will be getting games the Wii U just can't handle.

Yeah that's if there is many developers left in 3 years after the big budget titles don't make back the expected profits that will be needed to create more big budget titles... Kind of like the industry at the moment

SkywardLink98

@Discostew the risk isn't putting it on a new console, but giving it to a new audience.

My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.

You mean like how Battlefield has sustained very good numbers while still giving out massive post game content two years later.

So the real reason seems that the Wii U isn't in ICE plans for the frostbite engine and doesn't support it
. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-03-28-the-big-battlefi...

Eurogamer: Some Wii U owners are disappointed to see Battlefield 4 is not coming to the console. What, exactly, is the reason for that?

Patrick Bach: The biggest problem we have right now is we don't want to back down from what we see as our low spec machines. We right now don't have support for the Wii U in the Frostbite engine. The reason for that is it takes development time. What should we focus on to create the best possible Battlefield experience? We are now focused on PC and the current-gen platforms, and then there might be other platforms in the future that we can't talk about...

Eurogamer: One of them you can.

Patrick Bach: Yes, in theory, but we won't. But it's important to understand it's about focus and setting the bar. Where do you start? What's the minimum? What's the maximum? What's the scale in-between.

Tobias Dahl: We have long experience with scalability. We've always been making PC games. But we don't want to ship different games dependent on the platform. We need to set the limit somewhere, to have the lowest spec for this title.

Patrick Bach: We could probably make a Wii U game in theory. But to make the most out of the Wii U, that's a different game because of the different peripherals. We want to utilise all the power of each console.

Eurogamer: Are you saying it's not about the power of the Wii U itself, rather, it's about the controller?

Patrick Bach: It's everything. We could potentially make a Battlefield port for the Vita. But what would that game be? Is it something we could scale down from what you saw in the gameplay video, or would it have to be a complete redesign of the whole game?

It's about, where do you put your focus? And the Wii U is not a part of our focus right now.

...

Tobias Dahl: Going back to the Wii U, it's also a matter of scope. We can only work with so many platforms per person per day. It's a time-consuming thing to be a multi-platform title.

That also means that at this pace Wii U won't receive
a port of the new army of two
Dragon Age 3
the next need for speed
and around 13 other EA games that will run of the engine

Its funny how Nintendo had EA get on stage and in the developer talk up a possible port of Battlefield when the system can't even run the engine.

No surprise here 3rd party games sell like S**t on the Wii U. Black ops 2 had terrible sales, so why should EA port there shooter onto the Wii U ? there is no money to be made, why do you think there is no DLC available for Black ops 2 ?
