I think it would be awesome if there was a Battalion Wars game for the Wii U with the ability for players to control individual
soldiers with remotes and nunchucks while another player controls the entire army with the gamepad. What do you think?

Ofcourse. I've never thought about it now that Nintendo's online system has gotten better with Wii U. I say YES to Battalion Wars for Wii U.

Making promise is easy. The hard part is keeping it.

Hell yes.

Seems like a no-brainer though I would hope it was turn-based and not realtime.

That's what Advanced Wars is. I'm pretty sure Battalion Wars was Nintendo's take on the real time version of Advanced Wars.

That it was. But if there were to be a Battalion Wars III on Wii U, please let Intelligent Systems develop it.

Just for you.

Well, whether it's real time or turn based will be what names it outside out Japan. If Intelligent Systems makes it, it will probably be Advanced Wars. I'm pretty sure Intelligent Systems sticks with turn based most of the time.

Regardless of what they're used to, Intelligent Systems can do a much better job than that mediocre developer, Kuju Entertainment.

Kuju made the first Battalion Wars, and I thought it was really good. It's Battlion Wars 2, developed by Headstrong games, that wasn't very good at all.

Ya, but if they don't want to, then no dice.

I looked it up and it says Kuju Entertainment. Either way, get another developer to do the job.

I know people who liked both, and liked 2 for the Wii's controls.

Really, any Nintendo dev team could make it if they hear people want that game. If Nintendo hears people want Battalion Wars 3, or Advanced Wars, I'm sure they'll pick an appropriate team to get it out there.

You're right. Someone's messing with the developer's tab on the Wikipedia Page. I hate when people do that. It still links back to Kuju when you click it, though, and it still mentions Kuju on the page in the opening paragraph, and other sources say Kuju as well.

Kuju operates two studios... one of which is Headstrong games. I believe Kuju made the first one, then the company expanded so they made two separate dev teams. Both Battalion Wars games are effectively made by the same people.

They should stick to Advance Wars.

Not that Advance Wars is so great as a strategy series. It should be renamed "Strategy for dummies"

But at least it had mildly interesting presentation and characters.

I wold much rather Nintendo throw money at Tecmo Koei to localise Romance of the Three Kingdoms, which is already out on Wii U.

I had no idea. TK do seem to be giving the Wii U a lot of support.

Eh, the existence of a TK strategy game isn't really an indication of support. Every console gets like six of them. It would be nice if one could actually be localised for a change.

While Battalion Wars isn't necessarily bad (well the boring boring boring stereotype characters are...), I'd be horribly disappointed if that's the closest we get to some relevant RTS game on the system that isn't Pikmin-like. This would be my only chance to play any modern RTS, so can we just have some of that? A Civ game? Starcraft 2? XCom? Please?
