Topic: Assassin's Creed Liberation HD NOT coming to WiiU

Despite what some are saying in this topic, I don't think this is really a big deal. The only reason why it's coming to Xbox 360 and PS3, is because Vita is doing horrible.

I think it's better off not showing up on Wii U. One, because I don't like the game, so I don't care. Two, it's a port of an OK game. Three, it won't give Ubisoft an excuse to blame Wii U owners even though it did s***y in the first place.

This really isn't a big deal. This doesn't count as a big game. I have no clue how ports count as big games. The argument was quite the opposite for Wii U with actual console games, so am I missing something?

LOL. The PS4/Xbox One are so simlar that its not even funny. Thats not exactly a bad thing...but its not always good either.

Its a good thing. The Wii U being different will probably have done more harm than good. Espically since the Wii U isn't that different to begin. I mean its main hook is an ipad hot glued to a xbox controller.

And how would it being the same make the situation any better?

That doesn't make any sense. You don't buy a system for one game. Once you buy 10 games with GamePad support, you technically only paid $5 more for GamePad support per game in comparison to 7th gen games, and the Wii U hasn't even had a chance to play 8th gen games, because Xbox One and PS4 aren't even out with potential multiplats.

People just need to give stuff a break. Seriously, you didn't do the math and thought your comment would still matter.

it would mean they would get more ports that wouldn't sell as well on Nintendo. YAY!

anyone who assumes at this point that being the same would be an improvement for Nintendo is clueless. Your opinion is wrong, stop pretending Nintendo copy-pasting Sony or whatever is some fool-proof idea as if they are the same company with the same fans who buy the same thing.

though by that I mean Nintendo would most likely have had a tough time with their new console no matter what happened (partially thanks to botching Wii towards the end, they'd need the best marketing in the world to reverse this) unless they wanted to spend PS4 level money on ports that would be more likely to not sell on Wii U, thus giving developers all the justification to not support it. I don't know why people don't get this. Like, if you want to say Nintendo should've done this stuff, at least blame Nintendo not being as willing to spend massive amounts of money so easily. Because that's a reason and is an actual understanding of Nintendo as a company and how they work and what works FOR them.

also ignoring that most of the problem has been Nintendo's not clear enough marketing, which is the actual main issue, among other things I've mentioned.

Edit: Wait, there's more! I had somehow not thought of this, but do you think Nintendo could compete with Sony at their own game right now? Do you think in any reality, that would be the smart choice?

Like, I don't think people realize that Nintendo's current problems are based largely around marketing and their own past mistakes combined with not throwing money to fix these problems ASAP. Base criticism around that and maybe I won't have to repeat myself like I'm on crazy pills.

Assassin's Creed sucks. We're actually helping Ubisoft by telling them not to make it anymore.

Wii U needs good games. This topic is subjective, because it ultimately comes down to whether you actually like the game or not.

Xbox One and PS4 aren't getting this port either. So it just be bad for them, too.

Let's keep it simple: Ubisoft is willing to support Wii U with any titles they feel they will profit from. They don't support ANY cfonsole to show what good guys they are. Whatever data they looked at suggested the game wouldn't sell on Wii U. Is anyone really loking forward to that game? The AC franchises gameplay is so stale and repetitive. The whole stealth thing is great in spurts but man does it get old in a huge open world game. Ac4 looks exactly like ac3's gameplay dressed up in pirates. And to be honest with you, Watch Dogs' gameplay looks exactly the same as well but in a modern day setting. All just big open world stealth gameplay that, in my opinion, is so much better in concept than actual execution.

Haha, I wouldn't go as far as to say Assasin's Creed sucks, but spin-offs like Liberation are cheapening the brand...A LOT. I don't think it should be re-released on any console, much less Wii U. Oh course, companies have to make money though, and when fans are willing to buy every annual version of every game that comes out, and then harass people on the internet saying they're missing out on benevolence of the Sony Gods for a crappy port, then obviously Ubisoft is going to keep up with that...

I don't like Assassin's Creed but obviously there is a large enough market out the for it or they wouldn't keep the series going. Just because we don't like it doesn't mean that everyone doesn't like it and those people who do enjoy it should be able to do so.

Well, I haven't seen anyone on this site that cares. 7 million(AC III) isn't alot of sales when there are over 140 million home consoles consisting of Xbox 360 and PS3, BTW.
Just because a game or 2 that mostly everyone doesn't care about is released on Wii U, doesn't mean we should all be like "OMG Assassin's Creed! Why Nintendo?! Why Ubisoft!?".
Same thing with Dead Island: Riptide or some other 7th gen games. Alot of those games aren't doing that well, anyway.

If it would have shown up, then ok, but it seriously isn't that big of a deal.

Rayman Legends and the Dance series are the games that Nintendo console owners seem to care more about, and I think it's fair that that's all Nintendo systems get if that's all that sells.

Honestly, all I care about is Rayman, and the launch weirdness they always make which is RedSteel and ZombiU for the most part.

I care. Not about Liberation, but Assassins Creed is one of my favorite franchises. You're being extremely biased, and claiming your opinion as fact. If you want to do a poll on how many people would rather Assassins Creed die than live, you would have to go somewhere that has more people than Nintendolife in order to make a fair poll.

I'm not claiming anything as fact besides the numbers. All I brought up is that 7 million sales isn't a big number out of over 140 million.

I don't like the series, but I don't want the game on Wii U if Ubisoft doesn't want it there. It's better off not being on Wii U.

People hardly like ACIII, and that's a technically superior game.

EDIT: Selling a copy to 5% of an entire generation of gaming consoles is not very impressive, and I see why it sold so low.

I think there's very little chance that the Wii U would be getting top XBONE/PS4 Multiplat, the only one that has been confirmed so far is KH3 and has been confirmed as not coming to Wii U, that'll be the trend I'm afraid

My point is that people are always jumping the gun and won't listen to reason.
There is no literal reason why a game like Kingdom Hearts III should not be coming to Wii U.
When you look at the Xbox One and PS4 launch games, it's mainly exclusives. Those are games Wii U wouldn't have gotten, no matter what.

It's the same deal with CoD Ghosts. If there is an 8th gen multiplatform game that is compatible with Wii U, there should be no reason why 3rd parties opt-out in supporting the console.

Not only that, Wii U will have more control options, free online, and will have a bigger install base this holiday.

Eh, not a big loss in my opinion. Wii U is getting AC 4 anyway. As for Wii U third party concerns above...I've just come to accept that it's probably going to be the Wii era with major publishers again lol.

But by Scar logic Watchdogs will have to sell 100+ million units to be a success so if it doesn't meet that mark and Wii U doesn't get Watchdogs 2 then oh well.
