Probably not best to say it here, but I think I may just pick up AC4 to see what I think of it, but if I do, it will be on PS4. I see no reason to get a port where corners are cut and inferiority of the hardware set in when I have choices as sad as that is.
Well, it's $53 on Amazon right now for Ps4..... I got mine for $16 on the Wii U.

Good point. I personally think the peoples' faces and skin look better in the 7th gen version. Some of the textures make things look a bit better, but not peoples' faces. That's just my opinion. I think they contrasted the rain too much, too. Ultimately, there are some things I like about the 8th gen version more, but things I like more about the 7th gen version, but the difference isn't that big in the first place.

Hmm, sad to hear. I myself have had neither trouble with framerates or glitches. On the Uplay part it's the standard software for achievements and and unlockables and stuff that ubisoft uses, like origin and stuff. I hope your time with the game gets better cause it really is an amazing game.
So, how is that? We've bought the same game: I have low frame rate and you don't. Does anyone think the problem could be the TV? I ask because I honestly have no idea!
Where did you buy it? There's a slight possibility that it's either defective (where you might be able to argue it with the people you bought it from and get it exchanged), or it might even be a bootleg.
I hated AC 1 & 2, but I gave AC3 a try to see if the inclusion of ships helped the experience. Unfortunately I found it just as boring as the previous games, so I simply couldn't take the chance on AC4 when it released. I'm not even sure if I'd risk $15 on it as I regretted paying that for AC3 (I even regretted paying just $2 for AC1).
I wish Ubisoft had just made an action based pirate game instead of slapping it on top of the dull AC formula, because the theme is the only part that I'm interested in.
CaPPa, it was going to be originally. I know some are aware, but a lot are not, but Assassins Creed started out as a Prince of Persia game. They were going to relaunch that franchise entirely since the last few were hot turds, but somewhere along the way the designers started playing around with the idea of stealth and stealth kills and goofing around with other mechanics, and it turned into an assassination design so they went with it.
Imagine if it was a Prince of Persia franchise instead, then you would have had your stand alone pirate game if they had thought it up. The only AC game I have is that pirate AC4 knockoff on my tablet when they ran that 10 cents sale a couple months ago. It's not bad, but it gets a bit repetitive since it's a touch game.
