The water looks amazing, but the framerate is unstable on current-gen platforms and Wii U
So they are bias because they think the frame-rate is unstable on the platforms currently on the market? Should we be happy that they didn't call the Wii U "current-gen"?
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Every time reviews mention something about frame rate or something technical else , I never notice. I remember reviews saying there was a problem with Arkham City: AE. I spent so many hours on it and still have no idea what they talked about.
Hey guys, just came across some direct-feed screenshots from the Wii U version. It's looking very pretty indeed; looks like they may have put some extra effort into this port.
If you get the superior DIGITAL 4 LYFE versions of games instead of the slow speed disc ones you will never need to worry about framerates and pop in glitches ever again

I did it, I figured out all my game spending for the next 8 months and went ahead and got this, also getting Deus Ex digital and SMB3DW digital.

The only disc games I purchased when I first got the WiiU at launch were ZombiU, Assassins Creed 3 & COD while everything else has been a DOWNLOAD 4 LYFE. I even just recently got the download versions of ZombiU & Assassins Creed 3 for $17 each in that Ubisoft eShop sale and found that they load faster and run smoother... No more crappy performing disc games for me anymore
Played some of this yesterday. There really is a difference in terms of graphics between this and the 360 version of any previous game at least, don't exactly have a 360 version of this one just to compare but everyone has said it looks better than that too, which is nice. Islands are a nice change of scenery it seems.
I think the main thing I've gotten out of this is that the IV in the title stands for 4th wall. Aka the thing being messed with in this story. Otherwise it mostly plays like 3 so far, which I'm fine with. Stopped right after the first bit of future story, heard much of its optional. Gamepad stuff is unimportant but nice. Not having to pause for the map all the time will be so appreciated. Don't think I can have a true opinion of this game until I get into the open world pirate stuff though...
Hmm? I beat the game recently, and I can't think of any instance of breaking the fourth wall...
Yes they are obviously making a point that you are effectively playing a game within this game, as you are playing through the memories of Kenway as research for a company designing a game about pirates. But the series has always been about living those memories within a system made in the modern world - it's always been a game within a game.
Unless you somehow mean all the nods they make between Ubisoft and Abstergo Entertainment....?

Ubisoft is literally mentioned in the manual you can read in the present day story thing. They literally published the new entertainment Animus stuff or something. Not to mention the Animus Entertainment seems to be based off of Ubisoft/Ubisoft Montreal and just released Liberation. Not quite breaking it but it's supposed to be a semi-meta sort of thing with Animus being presented as a video game.
