I was reading Eurogamer earlier about the Black Flag dlc and it looks like the Wii U is not getting the dlc at all, now I know some people are not bothered about dlc but it made me think will the same happen with Watch Dogs?
Not sure whats going on with it anymore, as far as i read there has been no yay or nay yet beyond from at the very least there will be no season pass. To much is up in the air.

Even as a legit fan/apologist of the series Assassin's Creed DLC tends to not be that great, and this game is supposed to be filled with tons of content, so I don't think this is a big deal. Sadly, others won't agree, which is a shame.
Still getting this version, still not paying for online on the 360.
I really can't see myself getting the DLC even if it is somehow good for Watch_Dogs. DLC money is going to Bioshock Infinite...
Sorry, I can't see the big deal in this. If this WAS Bioshock Infinite or something that would be different but Ubisoft on DLC is...ehhhhh...
unless they pull a Blood Dragon again but don't let you buy it separately on Steam or whatever...which would make no sense when it worked so well for Blood Dragon...I don't see the big deal with this. Maybe because all my disappointment went to Deus Ex, but I don't feel this is important outside of being treated as important by people because it's future, paid content not on a specific system. I don't have a reason to believe I should care about this content. But neither would hats in TF2 or whatever, so clearly I'm the idiot.
Maybe so, but I'm really looking forward to Watch Dogs and since my PC can't meet the supposed system requirements (6 GB of RAM minimum?) and I don't have the cash to churn out for a PS4/XBO, a fairly treated Wii U version actually sounded like the best bet to me. I guess I shouldn't have put so much faifth in Ubisoft, but I want to buy at least one good third-party Wii U game before the end of the year. Perhaps Sonic Lost World?
Ok I was kinda dancing around this point basically but since you just said it, I hate the idea that a lack of DLC somehow makes this version not a good game. Like I don't want to say there isnt a valid point to not getting the Wii U version but automatically assuming it isn't good because of that, really does irk me. I think you could trace any problems I have with modern gaming to just the idea of "X is popular, therefore people want X for vague reasons thus everything must have X regardless of quality or integrity"
and yes I know you meant a 3rd party game that doesn't feel like it didn't get the proper treatment of a big title because 3rd party issues but still...ehhhhhh

I dont know if the idea of dlc is as you describe. i think its more so that people want to have a version of the game that gets the dlc just in case its good dlc. they want to be in the position to have the option to buy the dlc
I'm far more worried of a butchered port than lack of DLC FYI. I'm worried that since it sounds like Ubisoft is close to admitting defeat on the Wii U then their games won't come with much polish, or even worse they're going to strip features like they did with Blacklist. Or maybe I'm just being paranoid.

I dunno about that. They've said they'll be good ports so hope for the best. And Ubisoft does seem to have some hope for Nintendo. I think. They've given them the benefit of the doubt and patience that even some fans aren't willing to do based on interviews, I'll give them that much.
If you want more 3rd Party you have to put up with not getting everything. You have to be willing to take less while wanting more in order for 3rd Party to look at Wii U as a serious platform. I understand people don't want to pay for something that isn't "Fully Featured" but if you buy the game on another platform you are showing 3rd Party you don't care what system you get a game on as long as you can buy it. If you stand up and fight for games to be on Wii U and don't buy them on other consoles then you are sending 3rd Party a message. If you want Ubisoft to support DLC on Assassin's Creed on Wii U then we have to prove to them it is worth it, we have to support Assassin's Creed 4 even without the DLC to show Ubisoft they are missing a big percentage of their install base by not giving Wii U DLC. If you want Wii U to succeed then you need to fight for it!
That is what I think about all this stuff
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Indeed, and I appreciate them for that, but their patience is slipping if these news are anything to go by.
