So, a new post apocolyptic shooter has launched its Kickstarter and it includes a Wii U version.

Made by some former members of the Metro Team.

Now I haven't played Metro but just this morning I was considering whether or not Metro Redux is a good enough reason for a PS4 (still undecided). Anyway the announcement of this Areal game is very interesting. Obviously Kickstarter has plenty of risks, but this one may be interesting enough (considering the Wii U wont be getting too many more shooters in its current state) for me to pledge for the first time for a digital version. It appears to me to have a low goal and already a good start to funding.

Anyway, not sure if theres some rules about posting Kickstarter links in this forum, but just search "areal" on kickstarter and take a look.

Anyone else interested?

A port is probably not a good reason to get pretty much any console imo.

I'm interested enough. I've never played the Metro games but they seemed like one of the actually well done, interesting post-apocalyptic shooters and I was a bit interested before Last Light was cancelled for Wii U for reasons. A new game like that would be appreciated for Wii U because of the lack of them on the console.

Arh man. Last Light was potentially/almost on the 'U. Bummer.

I've only recently become aware of the Metro series and its apparently based on a good book. Mad russians running around subways shootin' mutants is appealing so Im thinking of getting the book and the games. Then, on what platform? The steam sale has them pretty cheap, but neither my PC or Mac have required gaming specs...decisions decisions.

Anyway Areal again looks somewhat like mad russians running around shooting mutants, so hopefully it can progress and come through on the Wii U.

Metro is on sale on Steam (Not Redux the normal versions). Thinking about picking them up

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

The game looks interesting and everything about it from the company's logo to the footage reminds me of a late 6th gen early 7th gen video game which isn't a bad thing. In terms of scope I was hoping to see more indie projects of this scale start to pop up. I'm a bit concerned at the actual goal since it seems lower than stuff like Shante. It seems like the project had already been worked on some like the cosmic star heroine and Earthlock kickstarters.

WAT!

And.....we may have a scam on our hands.

Reading thought the kickstarter comments and some people are raising valid concerns about the legitimacy of the project.

Oh well, will wait and see what happens.
