Topic: Are Wii U accessories region locked?

Hey everyone! I am absolutely loving MK8 and I want to expand my controller collection so I can have 4 people playing. Currently, I have the Mario, Luigi, and newly resleased Peach controllers for my Wii U system. However, I'm not a fan of the gamepad and I'm trying to decide on which 4th controller to buy. I've thought about the Pro Controller U but it doesn't feel "Nintendoish" enough for me and instead, i'd rather a colourful controller. Currently, North America only has Mario, Luigi and Peach available (as far as I can find?). If I order the Yoshi Wii U remote from Europe, will it sync with my North American system? The shipping will be a bitch but i don't care as it would be awesome to have all 4. Thanks for the help!

Also, anyone know good websites for buying Wii U accessories? Aside from Amazon, Gamestop etc.

All the accessories I have for my North American Wii U I bought in Japan (including a charging dock) and they all work flawlessly. I couldn't see Europe being an exception....unless you have to plug stuff into an electrical outlet.

The Gamepad is the only region locked thing. (Maybe due to different 5ghz wifi bands or something).

What is annoying though is for Nintendo to replace it the USA cost for one is double that of just getting one retail in Japan. (Don't know about the UK but they charge 150$ for one).
