Topic: Are we being primed?

With the forthcoming release of the Metroid Prime Trilogy on the eshop creating so much buzz in terms of its outstanding value-for-money, is it a ploy by the big N to get the franchise in to the home of every Wii U owner to set us up for the announcement of Metroid U?

I don't know why we are holding on to the Prime name, the game can still be first person and called something else.

Metroid Prime is obviously still alive, did you not see the super secret 103% completion ending in Corruption?

Comes with Metroid Prime 1, the greatest gamecube game of all time in my opinion, Metroid Prime 2, a VERY challenging game, not as good as Prime 1, and Metroid Prime 3, which debuted on the Wii. It's still not as good as Prime 1, but better than Prime 2 in my opinion. Although ALL of the games are AMAZING!

Actually I think Smash and the amiibos are meant to prime everyone to want to try any of the franchises reflected. I know I'm buying Wii Punch Out because of seeing the trophies; ditto Pikmin 2 and Super Mario Galaxy 2. Hyrule Warriors spurred me to get Twilight Princess again - I'd be very surprised if this and Skyward Sword didn't make an appearance.

The install base is growing and there's people who may have missed out on Wii entries for these games amongst those new Wii U owners. Putting out Wii entries of games they see in the trophy case for easy purchase seems like an obvious move.

What are Retro working on?

It might be wishful thinking, but I'd love to see a 3d Metroid on Wii U and 2d Metroid on 3Ds.
