Topic: Are now the shop purchases tied to a single account ?!

I just updated NES Remix and now a message tells me that I can't use it anymore, because I have deleted the account I used to purchase that software.
I used to have an UK account, but since I couldn't change my country of residence on it (Nintendo doesn't allow it), some weeks ago I have deleted it and created a new one.

This is the screenshot:

The error message tells pretty much this:

Unable to launch this software.

The Nintendo Network ID used to purchase this software has been deleted.

EEEEK! I used to believe that the digital purchases were bounded to the hardware, not to a single account.

yes and no. since the 3DS Miiverse Update both the 3DS and WiiU have a mutant hybrid method that binds games to both the NNID and the Hardware basically if either is missing you can't use the Eshop and if you lose either all your digital purchases are lost forever
that's how it works at least for the time being

I'd go to the eShop and see if i can donload it again without having to pay twice.
If not i'd comtact Nintendo. I mean the game's on the system so basically you must've bought it.

@LeasTwanteD he said he deleted his old NNID because he couldn't change regions so it's gone, forever.

ACK

Don't ever delete your NNID/shop account. Don't ever do it (unless you are selling your console, I suppose).

You goofed, man. Sorry. If you are linked via Club Nintendo, call customer service and give them a sob story. Or a dunce story. Either way, demand satisfaction (and your games back.).

Meanwhile, I'll make a sacrifice in your honor. (Good bye, DuckTales Remastered, you turd. Maybe in your unholy demise the NES original will rise from the ashes and appear on the VC...)

EDIT: Accounts themselves are tied to hardware. An account is simply a history of your purchases, it's part and parcel of downloading games.

@GuSilverFlame Well, i just thought it would be worth a look.
I don't know if there's any warning that tells you that everything will be gone before you choose yes or no. If not i'd try contacting Nintendo.
