I have got the opportunity to buy trauma center, new blood and second opinion. - anyone played those games? are they any fun? are they good if you can get them relatively cheap?
Yup, I've played both of them, and I can say they're really fun. The controls are perfect for switching from one tool to another and using it. However, New Blood's difficulty can rise unexpectedly, especially in the [spoiler] stages. The missions in Second Opinion are relatively easy and short throughout.
Bottom line, if you're not afraid of seeing a little blood, then these games are totally worth it.
God first.

I played New Blood some years ago and it was fiendishly difficult, even at the lowest setting. I did manage to complete the campaign though, however, I never got around to completing the post-game stages (which set the difficulty even higher). Now that you've reminded me of it, I may go back and revisit the game sometime. Fortunately, if you're having a bit of trouble with the game, you can recruit a second player to lend you a hand.
I'm disappointed that they've never made a sequel for Wii U as I think the Gamepad would be perfect for a game such as this. The Wii Remote is much too imprecise to do this concept justice.
"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"
Definitely get them! I absolutely love the Trauma Center games! I imported a US Wii for the sole reason of playing Trauma Team. They are quite difficult in places, but they're definitely worth checking out.

Thanks a lot for the input! - still in the decision making process, though... coz I have a somewhat limited budget - and can either buy the trauma center games and something else (probably other M) or xenoblade chronicles and maybe something else... so I will probably go for xenoblade and maybe trauma center lateron...
I'd hold off on Xenoblade, it's a rare game so you will be paying a lot for it if you're on a budget and it will probably come to the Wii U sooner or later.
I always thought the Trauma Center games were great on both the DS & Wii. I keep hoping for a Wii U version that makes use of both Wiimotes and the Gamepad at the same time for multiplayer.

Well, I am not so sure... I can buy it for 45 EUR, its not really cheap, thats for sure, but then again, I checked on ebay and they have it much more expensive. Keeping in mind that this is a new and sealed copy I am talking about, its not that bad actually... of course I could get both trauma center games for about half of that amount...
I love this franchise, own each game in the series minus TC:SO. Trauma Center: Second Opinion is a remake of the original DS game (Trauma Center: Under the Knife), and while it's got much-improved artwork, full voice acting, new missions, and better music, I think the control scheme on UtK is better. If you can find it for cheap it's still worth a look. New Blood is very difficult for a solo player, much of it's built around co-op. Even me and another Trauma Center vet were seriously challenged working together on the lower difficulties. I'd probably recommend Second Opinion/Under the Knife or Trauma Team for someone just getting into the series. Enjoy!

I'm a huge Trauma Center fan. Few games stress me out (in a good way) than the Trauma Center series. I liked Trauma Team the best though due to the investigative aspect.
They need to bring that series back for wiiu.

I only own (and thus, have played) Second Opinion. It was very good, it even has a decent plot with gorgeous tunes and tight controls. Though the difficulty does have some spikes here and there, it's nothing very frustrating if you don't play the hard mode or go for an S rank. I'd like to try Trauma Team someday btw.
Avid collector of Japanese music/films/videogames physical releases.

Or you can wait for it to be released on the Wii U and the price comes crashing down like it did with Metroid Prime.
I could (have!).
I finally made up my mind and bought xenoblade chronicles, it was 45 EUR(new and sealed!!!), it came today, there were even two days left to get the club nintendo points havent played it yet... it was more like get it now or never or pay whole lot more on ebay.
Maybe it will be like 20 EUR sometime in the future, but hey, I like my games to be physical,- you never know if you are gonna sell them - and if you own a game physical, its yours! - you can do whatever you want with it, downloaded games are attached to one console... but thats just my opinion.
So in the end I just passed on those trauma center games, I have stretched my budget enough the last couple of months, actually I have never spend so much money on games when I owned the x360 -
