I have a big list of games on my Wii U wishlist but Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed wasn't one of them until IGN's surprisingly good review of the game (albeit the PS3 version)! The game scored a 8.6 and suddenly I am curious or perhaps even interested. The problem is that I generally think that all kart racing games that aren't Mario Kart are crap and I was expecting S&ASR to be a poor racer but the IGN review has got me reconsidering.

Any of you lucky US or Canadian Wii U buyers bought the game? If not has anyone played a demo or planning on picking it up? I don't know why but I feel I need the validation of other Nintendolife readers before I can legitimately consider buying it! Help!

Im having the exact same thought regarding a mariokart "clone" but, im gonna pick it up on launch day. Btw, is it possible to play online?

I plan to, but I don't know which version I'm going to buy. It's certainly not going to be the Wii U or 360 versions.

From what I've seen it will be playable online. It was released last Sunday for the Wii U.

I planned on getting this at launch, but with Mario and Nintendo Land, I wanted to add more of an edge so I got Batman instead for now.

I got it yesterday but unfortunately, my Wii U won't be here till tomorrow but I'll post impressions when I get to playing it.
