Still one of my top 5 Wii U games ever. Loved every second of it, though the story got convoluted towards the end; the gameplay and horror came through.

I'll never forget Gamespot's review of the game, a big reason why it's metacritic is so low. They complained about the lack of bullets and the game having a claustrophobic atmosphere. As if either of those things are negative aspects in a SURVIVAL HORROR GAME.

As for Ubisoft moaning about it's sales, I don't understand how it couldn't have broken even at the very worst. Remember the games origins, as a alien-invasion thing on old tech. Then the Wii U came in and they re-skinned it. They didn't make it any more shiny, per se, nor filled it full of expensive cut-scenes.

Honestly Ubisoft think every game is a disaster unless it sells 8m copies, hence why they have pretty much ditched Prince of Persia, for instance.

Yeah, I thought it was awful people bashed it for its GOOD qualities. I miss the days when survival horror meant surviving...not a FPS game with zombies...
"I hate the cricket bat!!!1"...And everyone hated the knife in RE1 & RE2, but that used to be a good thing.

Anyone who is a fan of the original RE games owes it to themselves to at least try this game, especially at its now discounted price. Sadly, we won't see a sequel with Ubisoft going all Activision on everyone. I can't blame them, they're a business...but still, another Assasin's Creed doesn't even sound half as appealing as another ZombiU.

I made another topic the other day because I picked this up for 7.99 new. Without a doubt the best 7.99 I've ever spent. This game has always been on my radar but with the prices of other games it just made sense to get those first. With that said I would gladly pay full price for this type of quality. I have not felt this way playing a game since the first Silent Hill! The tension around every corner is almost to much to take.

As for the melee combat, I just don't see what the problem is. I've taken to it right away. I hit them back off then swing again as I move forward. They barely even get a chance to move by the time they're dead. Sure a gun with more bullets would be nice but then it would just be a westernized Resident Evil and we have plenty of those now. I'm not seeing any flaws in the game play whatsoever.

Great experience so far and I keep hearing about this nursery and I'm mot liking what I'm hearing lol!

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.

The multiplayer is so much fun with the friends.

How does multiplayer work in Zombie U? Is it co-op? Is it one player on the TV and one on the Gamepad?

The multiplayer of Zombie U is very basic but is the most trolling thing I had ever see, the user who has the gamepad is limited to put zombies in some places, but this is amazing and you will have so much fun setting traps to the poor guy who is front the tv. With the gamepad you know where the survivor is, but the survivor never knows where a zombie is hidden or how many hunters are around the corner. Some times I was afraid my friends could drop the controller when they got scare. Sorry for my bad english.

There was so much tension in this game and the setting and feel were spot on sure I would have liked the map to be a bit bigger and even just a few more bullets around might have helped (not so many it would ruin) the multiplayer was a lot of fun to be play with my non WiiU friends because they liked how it was not like other multiplayer games on Xbox and PlayStation. I know its unlikely to ever happen but I'd love a sequel one day with local coop hopefully when sales take off next year

The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.

This would be one of my favorite games ever if not for the scuba tank zombies. I think having zombies that blow up if you shoot them is a good idea, I just hate that they still explode if you melee them. I'm pretty sure I could whack a scuba tank with a cricket bat all day long and not have it blow up in my face. Of course I am complaining about realism in a game about flesh eating corpses so take my complaint with a big grain of salt, haha.
