It comes out next spring on Xbox One and PS4. They could very well port it if Call of Duty Ghosts does well. We all know how Nintendo wanted to keep Ghosts under wraps, so they could announce it 2-3 months before.

We'll just have to see. There's no sure answer, but being announced on Xbox One and PS4 before Wii U isn't really any reason to dismiss the possibility if Ghosts is anything to go by.

I haven't heard or seen anything that would make me believe its coming to the Wii U.

Anyone else find this strange? It seems like tehy would lose out on a lot of pre-orders by doing this.

Four more months until Bayonetta 2.

We know Nintendo loves to wait to announce numerous games closer to their release dates, because announcing them too early might be bad if the game has to be delayed. Still, you are right in that it would affect pre-orders.

There would still be plenty of time, IMO. I'm the guy that pre-orders stuff like a week before, though. Plus, there's always digital. If I buy Ghosts on Wii U, it will be digital.

Politics aside, there isn't really any reason why it shouldn't show up. I'll buy Destiny if it comes out on Wii U. I'd rather have a ton of games on Wii U than buy an Xbox One and balance 2 game libraries. I can either have alot of one thing, or a little of both, and I'd rather go with alot of one thing.

Probably not. Instead of wondering if this third party game is coming to Wii U or that third party game is coming just buy an Xbox One or PS4 as well. Thats what I am doing.

If anything a PC version would be next in line for the game. There's no reason why a game coming next summer (they say spring but this is a may/june title at best) with a very public beta gets a late port. The way the Destiny roadmap seems would probably mean a WIi U port in 2015 or the system gets skipped in favor of the sequel.

@Sony_70
It wouldn't make any sense to skip the first game for the sequel, unless there's no interest on the other platforms. It looks to be in the exact same position as Ghosts. It's announced for all systems, except Wii U.

I honestly think it will fair better than Ghosts on Wii U will. They said it runs the next gen engine version, so Wii U owners are interested in getting the 8th gen multiplats now that everyone has made a big deal about it.

Destiny being a new IP by Bungie makes more people want it kinda, just like how people are giving Rare Ware a chance on Xbox One. A traditional Banjo-Kazooie game would flip the lid. I think Microsoft figured out that people want the type of Banjo that was on the N64.

Or if you don't have the money to buy multiple consoles the best you can do is support any attempts the company makes to support the Wii U such as Call of Duty

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

With what, Killer Instinct? Rareware has no involvement in that.

Unlikely, since there haven't been that many Wii-U's sold, and the typical Nintendo fan doesn't purchase this kind of game.

You still don't explain why Activision would wait to announce the Wii U is getting the game. I kind of understand the wishful thinking but at this point its not happening. They've already started taking pre-orders for the beta and the game is coming out next spring. If the game were coming out surley it would be apart of the beta program. There's a slim hope in the game coming but I'm not so sure.

I mean the big problem is that the Wii U and Nintendo fans are getting slagged on about not buying third party at this point. With developers leaving or not including the platform in future roadmaps why would Nintendo purposely contribute to a problem facing the system.

How do they expect to gain hype for the game on the system this way. I mean I've already pre-ordered and got two beta codes for the 360 and the One for the spring.

I do agree with you about Rareware. Microsoft learned what Nintendo has which is you doesn't nesscarily need Rare working on the IP as long as they're in it. Killer instinct is shaping up nicely and I could easily see Battletoads, banjo, Perfect Dark come back into Fruition.

They're supervising it and Kenn Lobb who technically works at Rareware is working with Double Helix on the game. Think how Miyamoto works for Nintendo but oversaw development of Luigi's Mansion 2.

That's such a pretty sorry stereotype. Anyone that had a GCN 6th gen when when Nintendo was getting 3rd parties, bought 3rd party games. Everyone that had a Wii bought 3rd party games, too. It just wasn't AC, Dead Space, etc. HD games in 7th gen.

No offense, but your statement holds no value. I can bet you that any person that bought any 3rd party game for their Wii U(or any game at all, for that matter) would take a look at Destiny or anything else available on the system and consider it, as long as it's available. So yes, you are 100% wrong. How are Wii U owners able to be blamed for 3rd party support if it's not there to begin with? The answer is you can't.

Don't try to pretend its just me who thinks this way. So do all the developers who avoid releasing games on the Wii-U (or more specifically, Nintendo hardware) for the same reason.

I want to avoid being sucked into the SCAR392 Vortex, so this will be my last post on this issue.

JetForceSetGrind

Unlikely, a complex system to code for with a very small install base. Not worth it in Bungie and Activision's eyes for Destiny, an online-oriented "Mature" game.

Which is why Uncharted gets a T rating on purpose? These things can have an effect on sales, good or bad. Otherwise companies wouldn't adjust a game to get one or the other.
