I don't know about you Nintendy' goober heads, but i'd definitly love to experience my Wii U gaming in Phanto-fabulous & Striking '3D'..The 3DS has already blown me away with the technology and i'd absolutely love to get it on the Big screen with the 50-55" 1080p 3D Panny' plasma i plan on picking up before the Wii U launches this Holiday.
Iwata mentioned around a year ago that the Wii U would be supporting 3D but that it's not the main focus. Yet 3D wasn't mentioned at all during E3.... Here's what he had to say!
Quotes from Iwata a while Back...
"If you are going to connect Wii U with a home TV capable of displaying 3D images, technologically, yes, it is going to be possible, but that's not the area we are focusing on," he explained.
"When it comes to 3D, we already have the 3DS, and each owner of the Nintendo 3DS is capable of viewing 3D images."
"And rather than pouring a lot of energy into that kind of area, with the Wii U we'd like to focus more on each Wii U owner being able to have an equal opportunity to enjoy it."
Depth perception is natural & realistic, so to not have it just makes the image look flat. Movies on the other hand are hit and miss. If it's post conversion 3D that's it's practically gauranteed to look lousy, but if it's shot in 3D than you'll most likely be in for one hell of a ride.
Depth perception is only natural and it just makes sense to have it. It delivers a far greater sense of immersion and you feel like you're looking through a virtual window into another world.
