So I missed my chance to pre-order the deluxe model and I'm determined to get it at launch even if it means standing in a line all night. However it seems like all the stores are doing preorders now, so does that mean there are none available for day one pickup?

You can pick it up day one...

...if you pre-ordered it.

I would try the supermarkets if I didn't have my pre-order in place. I think you will get in in the UK/Europe but if you're in the USA then it sounds like you may be out of luck.

ah I am in the US, I know Walmart and Target did pre-orders. There has to be at least a few stores that didn't do preorders....

Does America have Tesco stores? Try in there if you do.

I've seen lots of folks mentioning Sears as a possible location to pick one up. Apparently lots of people don't think of Sears when they think of video games. I myself think of Craftsman tools but whatevs.

Currently own: Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, 3DS, iPad, PC's, WP7 Phone and a Vita. Who you callin' a fanboy?!

This is the only one I can think of. I didn't even know Sears still sells video games, the ones in my area don't. I don't know if anybody confirmed Sears is even getting any consoles at launch, though.Still, this is your only bet there.

Apparently Nintendo did recently state they are shipping more consoles to stores than just the preordered ones, so theoretically you might be able to get one at GameStop or Best Buy or something. If you can survive the crowd of both preorder pickups and other desperate buyers.

Feel free to add me on the Nintendo Network: ShadJV
