So apparently, there's other modes than just the board game. But don't expect an actual AC game, since this is free. Probably just more party related stuff
Wait... this is free?
It said during the Event that an amiibo is required to play, so it would make sense for the software itself to be free.
I doubt it would be free, I could see it being a cheap download but not free.
According to Nintendo Treehouse, the game itself is free. The amiibos on the other hand, aren't.
When did they say that?
EDIT: Just checked the NL Live Blog, its free but requires amiibo, that is awesome.
If it's a free game, then this is a little strange: There's a box-art for the game. I'd expect a free game to be eShop exclusive. I wonder how they're going to handle the physical distribution if that's the case.
The game seems a lot like Monopoly. It seems really cute, but it would be really awesome if we could use any amiibo, instead of just the Animal Crossing ones.
Only three pages about this game. Not looking good.
Well I am excited about the game but I feel like there isn't much to talk about. Plus when I expressed interest in this game under a different topic, people were kinda mean. So I can understand why those interested might now want to talk about it.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

I believe it was confirmed to be in a bundle in the retail version. I think it was something like 2 amiibos and 2 cards.
That would make more sense, and that's what I was thinking of. However, bundled games in Europe have both the PEGI and USK rating on the cover, whereas the regular single games have either PEGI or USK, depending on your region.
So much hate towards this. I want a fully fledged Animal Crossing and they do this to it.
This attitude baffles me. "I can't believe they're making a spin-off instead of nothing! Now there's no way we'll get a full title on this system!"
More to the point of OP for this thread, I am not excited for this title. I AM however intrigued. We know so very little about this. Was the trailer all we'd ever need to know, or is Nintendo bot giving us the whole story? Why does it specify Amiibo in the title? Is it not exclusively AC characters or is it that this is only a portion of a bigger animal crossing we'll get later? So much Nontendo hasn't said, and yet none of it may NEED to be said. Guess we'll know in the Fall when Nontendo gives us a closer look at this mysterious title.
i can't say that this looks bad, i do think they should have choose something else to reveal for this game then maybe it gotten more good reception then the board game (since they said that there more to it)

Where did they say that? I'm suddenly even more sispicious. The name and now a quote? Maybe this is a Mario Party style board game with multiple maps partaining to multiple franchises beinmg developed by either Hudson soft (or whatever happened to them, anyways) or Nd Cube, and the only reason they showed it as Animal Crossing was to announce Amiibo for the series.

they say during live at treehouse that there was "more to the game but this is the only thing we can show"

Today I visited an Animal Crossing forum on Nintendolife. It was very exciting. Tomorrow I hope to catch up with Joan and tell her what she can do with her turnips....
