Topic: Angry Joe Got a Wii U

So Angry Joe finally got a Wii U. He had lots of fun playing Mario Kart 8, and Smash Bros for Wii U. But he's still angry because of one thing...

What I find surprising is that he wasn't aware of content ID claims, since he made a video in 2013 complaining about companies claiming videos. Also that no one told him about what Nintendo does. I assume if enough of his fans persuaded him to buy a Wii U, some of them would have mentioned to him about Nintendo's business practices.

I'm so happy he got one and he had fun with the system! But still this copyright BS is getting annoying and even Joe said how's he going to do a review for Wiiu games if Nintendo can't let him show the content the game has?God Nintendo has to change those polices. This isn't 1996 anymore Nintendo.

Well Nintendo allows footage, they just don't allow music (don't know about voice clips). So if he shows the game, but mutes the audio, he's good.

But yeah, Nintendo really shouldn't be claiming people's vids. It's free advertising,.

Obviously Nintendo, and more-crucially youtube, should change their policies. But these dumb rage videos have got to stop. I like angry joe's reviews and I almost always agree with his preferences and consumer advocacy, but this freak out video is just puerile! I can't stand to watch any of this junk. Moreover Nintendo has been this way for what? 2-3 years now? It's not news, so it shouldn't be surprising or generating any genuine fits of emotion.

So one of my favorite Youtube reviewers actually bought a Wii U (which surprised me) but he can't review games because Nintendo is retarded. Yeah, sounds about right.

It is advertising, but if he makes money on the videos, that is where Nintendo can legally claim a certain amount of revenue. Literally any company can do this, and is what Microsoft was specifically doing for a while. They were paying people to promote Xbox One on YouTube.

The only reason why companies support ContentID, is because the people posting those videos are MAKING MONEY. If people aren't making money from the videos, THEN it is free advertising. That's why companies have that right. Everyone complaining about it looks like a little whiny baby, because it does actually make sense from a business point of view. It's literally contradictory to say that the companies don't deserve credit, because you are making money off of their content. If the companies didn't make the content, money to be made off of said content would be nonexistent, then people would be getting $0, instead of however much minus however much they have to give the content creator.

If YouTube didn't have these policies, then the companies would go to YouTube, which is why ContentID exists. It's puts the responsibility on the video uploaders. YouTube is just a middleman in the whole thing.

I'm surprised people still don't understand this stuff, yet. Nintendo can claim revenue, because YouTube allows them to do that as the copyright owners, so complaining is being contradictory.

BTW, YouTube didn't exist in 1996

Some guy who got a Wii U for free, because people donated to his YouTube ventures. He already makes money from them watching his videos, and now he doesn't want to do reviews for a Wii U that his donors paid for, because Nintendo will claim revenue on his videos. That's what the video above shows, anyway.

So to sum up, a random guy is angry on the internet.

A random guy that is angry on the internet, because reasons.

It's both, really. Youtube not sticking up for the content creators they're dependent on and Nintendo messing up the opportunity for free advertising on a widely popular medium.

Joe barely makes reviews these days anyway so it's not like he'd be uploading Nintendo reviews any time soon.
Also his reasons for being mad in the video is petty. He got the console and games for free! BE HAPPY! About copyright, take it up with Youtube's crappy content ID system. It's broken!

Youtube didn't exist in 1996?Nah you don't say?Yes we know Nintendo can do this but they're the only ones Sony and Micorsoft aren't doing this cause they know youtube is free advertisement for their games. But Nintendo doesn't know this cause there a bunch of idiots.

I like AngreyJoe, it would be neat to see him do Nintendo reviews, but he hardly does reviews in general anymore anyway. I'm a little surprised he wasn't even aware of the copyright mumbo-jumbo.

But the fact here is that he got a Wii U and games from his donors who wanted to see him do reviews for it. The copyright system on Youtube has been garbage for years.

I've been a Angry Joe fan since 2009,I'm finally happy he has a Wii U now. I would like him to review Nintendo games, but with that whole copyright thing it probably won't happen for awhile

I just watched the video. Gotta say, If you have to get these things "donated" to you because your fans got sick and tired of waiting for you to get one then clearly you have problems. Things he reviews are typical brodude games. COD, HALO, Gears, YADA YADA. it goes on. Don't get me wrong , I actually like halo and Gears but his whole persona grinds on me. I do like his Consumer advocacy messages. It's a missed opportunity honestly but maybe Nintendo doesn't want to be promoted by this particular persona.

I have no idea who this guy is, but since when became it impossible for someone to review a Nintendo game? Every Nintendo game has at least dozens, if not hundreds of online reviews; and they are not taken down.
