Topic: Amiibo Keyrings?

I like the idea and the way Amiibos will interact with Nintendos games but as a 30 year old guy I can't see myself being big on the collecting of figures, it would be good if Nintendo could release an alternative alongside the figures for us older gamers that still wanted to use the feature, maybe something like a keyring with the chips integrated into them, this would also benefit when visiting friends you could have your data with you all the time.

Is there any more of you that would prefer a keyrings to a figure?

I would love this, this way I'd be able to have all of them without feeling bad for collecting toys. XD
but since it won't happen I'll just get one or two of them

Thats a fantastic idea really. Why not make it small collectable coins or something. Easy to store away, easy to transport and, from a marketing standpoint, why not make these little blind bags with a bunch of coins in them.
Sculpting figures as incredibly detailed as the amiibos is probably extremely costly. So i dont see them make EVERY character in nintendo history into an amiibo. This "cheaper" methid would give them and us the chance, to collect characters not really fit for their own unique figurine in form of some sort of small token with their likeness printed or stamped on.

trading cards would also be a nice approach, the chips could work on the WiiU and the figures in 3DS' AR capabilities(for those who don't want to buy an add-on to have 3DS compatibility)

Coin-shaped keyrings would rather nifty. They could even be implemented via random distribution in packs. They would be easy to transport, cheap to produce, and a fun collectible to trade with friends. Just imagine grade schoolers running around with jail-sized keyrings full of amiibo coins! ^_^
And people who want to have something more 'visible' can still get the figures.

@GuSolarFlare While I like that idea as well, building a TCG around amiibo would be counterproductive. It would either lack variety (cause Nintendo doesn't have infinite characters), or it would be confusing due to way too many cards being present.

I am 35 and have over 500 toys and growing that range from everything from Lego Simpson houses to Con exclusives and everything in between.
I would say just don't feel bad buying toys. There is nothing to feel bad about and as long as you enjoy it then don't worry.
