Topic: am I the only one who finds the desgin of the wii U console a bit underwhelming.

Indeed you did Choco. To defend myself I would definitely get the black one if there was an option of every colour even though I pointed out that colours could work with minimalism in the other thread. I think I also pointed out in that other thread that a NES themed one would be pretty cool.... and I stand by that.

but as I said before in response to the OP I think the console design itself is pretty good. Just give me a black one and I can pretend it's not there.

I would've liked a nice splash of color, the white is getting boring. Besides that though, its going to be hidden away in my TV setup so I don't really care. Like others have said, handhelds should be more concerned about looking nicer. Although, I do think there was more differences between the Wii U system and Wii, for those who are easily confused.

Did anyone expect the WiiU to be made out of diamonds?

White and Black are good enough choices. If you want to "rad" it out with a neat color, just get a skin for it. I did that with my Wii.

I wish it was just black, and they had never made a black Wii. Just to keep them different.
