Topic: am I the only one who finds the desgin of the wii U console a bit underwhelming.

Bah. The look of the Console means nothing to me. The controllers matter IMO, as you actually come into contact with them, (for long periods of time) and they do need to look appealing. Both controllers and handhelds do pretty well in that regard. I personally am a fan of the WiiU Gamepad. Can't wait to beat people with I MEAN USING it.

How dare you insult us Gamecube era children, it wasn't exactly my choice. Lol but yeah, if it weren't for the Wii's VC I wouldn't have had a chance to play all of the fantastic games that I couldn't enjoy before.

Actually I like the WiiUs look better then the wiis, the gloss look on the 3DS is also less scratch pron then the DSi Was (for me) but it shows finger prints easier

Thanks Splashy! 30 was a pretty significant benchmark. It was a little hard to accept but one thing that helped me handle it was that I knew eventually every 80's child will one day reach it. I figured it is the price I must pay for living in 9 out of the 10 years of the glorious 80's

I think the console does it's job. It isn't ugly or huge. I still wish I could have it stand like a tower though.

I think the Wii U looks reasonably slick for all that. The tablet controller is fugly though.

Why does everything in electronics have to be serious colors like white, black, and metallic? I remember when bright colors were rad.

Admittedly, I don't think the Wii U looks very attractive and I do think the Gamepad looks bulky, but it's about how they use the Gamepad and the kinds of games that come out for Wii U!

Some of us don't want our houses looking like children's play rooms.

I'm just having fun. I honestly do like my Wii in the den to blend in with the other electronics in the entertainment center.

Then again, I'm also totally okay with brightly colored extra Wiimotes that are kept stowed discreetly in a drawer until play time.

There should be colour WiiUs because some people like colour. There should be white and black ones too, because some people (or, lots, I guess, it is the current fashion) like minimalism.
