Well lets look at the best comparative deal on the 3DS which was buy 3 games to get 1 so I don't think we'll be seeing something like this for a long time at least.

The 3DS isn't in as bad a position as the WiiU is, and still is even after the huge increase from Mario Kart 8. Those sales only make me believe that we WILL see another similar sale, to boost sales again.
And, I seriously almost went and got one again...dreaming of W101, 3D Mario, and playing Last Story, and finishing Xenoblade. Ugh.

I doubt we'll see a promotion comparable to this for the remainder of the Wii U's lifetime.
To save a comparible amount of money it is only needed to buy 2 Nintendo Selects (Which will come eventually I hope they are not as tight with it as last time like they did for the Gamecube).

I will be buying this game on release day, even if I don't have a WiiU. It will join W101, in sleep mode, if I don't have the hardware. I'm doing so, because I believe the print run on this game won't be huge, and could in fact make it Xenoblade-ish (I didn't have a problem waiting on Xenoblade, others did, got my copy DAY ONE SON) level of rarity.
