Sounds like you're thinking of the original Alien (note singular) and not its sequel Aliens which is the movie this game is based on.

True but these guys continue to miss the boat on what made Alien great. Maybe I am wrong and will still pick this up for Wii U but was hoping for something more... an experience like Dead Space (original) not Serious Sam.

To put it in context, Kid Icarus Uprising got I believe...a 7? from him and got some controversy. This gets a 2.5, and no one is disagreeing. That's NOT A GOOD SIGN.

KI got a 5, as he just couldn't enjoy the Ground-Sections (which is about half the game).

But I mean, that was a very debatable review. This on the other hand, does not seem to be that.

You know there were 2 Wii U ports (so far) I was interested on maybe getting on Wii U. This didn't necessarily change anything but I'd like to thank the developers of this game for confirming my future purchase of Darksiders 2.

I know I will still be getting this game.
A) The WiiU needs shooters.
B) I have been excited about this game for awhile.
C) IGN gave AvP on Xbox 360 a 7 and I felt it deserved higher then that.

So although many people are saying it isn't that good I will still get it and see what I think. I am the type of gamer where 100 people can say a game sucks but I find the fun in it.

so this game sucks on ps3 and xbox 360 lets hope it fairs better on wii u but surprise surprise theres not even one video of the wii u version running, so how long are we gonna have to wait to be disappointed

of Prime 3's pointer controls on a lag free CRT Tube display instantly blew me away. I'll admit i've never been a huge 3D gamer, aside from platformers and survival horror. So when the Wii came out and revolutionized and breathed new life
into these genre's and many more i instantly became interested. I've always drempt of the industry going beyond your standard control scheme for these types of games and the wii delivered. With a traditional controller, these types of experiences at this point at least for me have been ridiculously stale. Bioshock, Bioschock 2, Dead Space ect. I don't care if the resolution becomes higher, the graphics become prettier and the sound becomes more clear.
Because if it's all part of a control scheme I'm not keen on I'll pass on it. I'm not supporting 1st/3rd person GCN/PS2/XBOX experiences with a new lick of paint.

I complete agree. The Wii mote is a necessary evolution. The idea of playing FPS with a game controller just feels archaic, especially since I was a heavy PC gamer before consoles even had first person shooters.... Nothing can touch the mouse/kb, but the Wiimote came pretty close, as long as its implemented properly (Prime 3 is a great example, Red Steel 2's gun play), as long as you practice enough to become profecient is far more satisfying than twin sticks game controllers.

But its not the sole decider if I get a game or not.... BLOPS2 started off horrible with the wiimote, it has improved greatly in the latest patch and is almost where it needs to be.

Aliens Colonial Marines on the Wii U has the advantage of being the only game released within the next some 40 days. If Sega can get it out quickly it will probably soak up alot of that money that Wii U owners set aside for Rayman Legends.

LOL true but I still hope for a Dreamcast 2 ;) Overly optimistic ? More than likely but there is nothing else to buy right now and dont have a need for the controller but will eventually.
