No, it's not going to sell but it's one of my most wanted WiiU games. I just hope enough people buy it for full online matches

I'm sounding like a broken record, but does anybody know if there's Wii remote pointer/nunchcuk support? Forget Rayman Legends getting a 7 month delay and going multiplatform. If Aliens and RE: Revelation don't support my precious & beloved pointer based control scheme i'll throw thee' most ultimate man-tantrum VideoLand has ever seen. :p

I bet it won't. It seems to me like it is going to require all the buttons the WiiU GamePad has to offer. If Wii-remote support is your deciding factor then I am guessing you won't be happy.

Control schemes should not persuade you a purchase.

For the 1st and 3rd person genre, yes they should. Especially if i'm not having any fun dealing with this control scheme that i've pointed out several times that i cannot stand anymore. Like I've mentioned before, it practically breaks the experience for me and the fun factor gets shot down by a land slide. When you experience pure gaming Next Gen Bliss in terms of controls(Metroid Prime 3 being the biggest eample on Wii) than why should i have to settle for something completely inferior that i've personally never liked to begin with?

It was hell having to go dual analog for Resident Evil 5 after being so used to RE4: Wii Editions poitner controls. Going back to metroid prime on the Cube was also utterly painful after experiencing Prime 3 on the wii. I don't care how great the game is at the core, if it's wrapped around a control scheme that i cannot stand than i wont bother. Thank god Bioshock inifinite supports the Move. It also improves the characters on screen arm/hand/gun animations giving you realistic fluid 1:1 movements, especially in prime 3's case.

But the majority of gamers want the traditional game controls. I wish more companies would try motion controls for many different games but if there is almost no demand then they won't supply.

Which is baffling. Remaining stagnent with twin sticks and not evolving for 1st and 3rd person based titles is pretty sad...Getting that taste
of Prime 3's pointer controls on a lag free CRT Tube display instantly blew me away. Why on earth would i settle for anything less when i've experienced the future or what should be or at LEAST supported for these 2 genre's? I don't really consider adding a screen to a controller 'evolving' with tradition controls for a genre such as this. It's not building on the fundemental design of the wii remote. It's stripping away what made it so unique and amazing and going into a different direction....A really cool direction, but there's still that big sacrifice you're making. Using the gamepads screen as a map or item envintory as a generic example isn't exactly exciting. It's neat and everything but hardly revolutionary. Zombi U has done some pretty awesome things with the GP's screen, but you're still sacrficing pointer controls for another type of innovation. Some people are fine with that, I'm not.

I'll admit i've never been a huge 3D gamer, aside from platformers and survival horror. So when the Wii came out and revolutionized and breathed new life
into these genre's and many more i instantly became interested. I've always drempt of the industry going beyond your standard control scheme for these types of games and the wii delivered. With a traditional controller, these types of experiences at this point at least for me have been ridiculously stale. Bioshock, Bioschock 2, Dead Space ect. I don't care if the resolution becomes higher, the graphics become prettier and the sound becomes more clear.
Because if it's all part of a control scheme I'm not keen on I'll pass on it. I'm not supporting 1st/3rd person GCN/PS2/XBOX experiences with a new lick of paint.

Agree with @WaveBoy.
Playing an FPS with anything other than a keyboard and mouse or Wii remote just feels so danged awkward to me now. I like to hook up my laptop to my plasma TV with an HDMI cable, but as of now I don't have a decent wireless keyboard and mouse so I'm forced to use a 360 controller for a lot of first-person games if I decide to play on the big screen. It's a little distressing. Especially when I have to dumb down the difficulty on games to make up for the control limitations.

The only way I'll play this now is if they include an Operation(kids Board game) Face Hugger stylus based-game on the Gamepad's screen. :p

@WesCash
What's awesome about the wii remote is that you're actually pointing at the screen in simular fashion or at least the closest thing to mimmicking a gun(Especially if you're using the Nyko perfect shot), as opposed to resting your hand on a mouse that's laying flat on a table. I guess you could say the wii remote is like an 'in space' 3D mouse? probably a terrible way to put it. :p Again, these developers need to give us these alternative control schemes to please all sides of the spectrum. And the fact that some are saying the game pad is the perfect controller for FPS's has me cringing. The correct answer is the wii remote plus/Nunchuck you silly close minded developers. I would of loved to of seen Nintendo take the nunchuck even further by making it wireless(2 AA batteries would of added extra weight to make it feel less cheap), improved Gyro controls, the works.

Finished the ps3 version and have to say i'am very dissapointed, the game is extremely short (seriously like 5 - 6 hours) and looks/plays like something that released start of this gen, I really cant believe how much they (gearbox) mucked this up, there is a couple of scares in the first hour and thats it, in fact the rest of the game feels like it was developed by somebody else entirely and becomes a sub standard shooter with zero atmosphere. As I said earlier this is the ps3 version I've played so cant vouch for wii u but unless it's a completly different game I cant see how motion controls/gamepad would make a huge difference to the game. So dissapointed :( Seriously wait for the bargain bin for this one.

Edit: havent played much of the multiplayer (about 20 mins) so cant really say either way what its like but it seems like fun.

So, with all the truly awful reviews going around today about this game, I have "2" questions about the Wii U version, DO YOU THINK:

A) The Wii U version will now be canned?
B) The Wii U version will now be worked on a lot more and have lots of improvements, similar to what happened with Ninja Gaiden 3?

So what do you all think!

I'm kinda hoping that this game will also pull the "Ninja Gaidens" by releasing earlier on other platforms and then later a polished and buffed version for the Wii U.

Thanks for the beta test xbox fanboys.

If the game sells well on the other consoles, they'll just release it how it is to make a quick buck.

So sad :( Was really hoping for something epic so hopefully the WiiU version will deliver. Wish Retro would have done this game

Side note... has any developer who made an Aliens games ever bothered to watch the movie ? Did they happen to notice there was only one Alien on that ship and it wreaked havoc !! Crew was simply terrified at the thought of facing one much less hordes of them.
