After this is out is Zelda the only traditional (i.e. on previous systems) Nintendo franchise in development (I guess Mario Party too, am I forgetting anything)? If so I'd hope they'd reveal another one as of yet unannounced? Perhaps F-Zero, Pilotwings or Paper Mario?

Personally I'd love to see a new Paper Mario announced in the new year, I think I saw there is an as of yet unannounced Intelligent Systems games in development for Wii U so I think this could be on the cards.

What would you like to see? And do you think an announcement is likely?

I'd like to see that ReUmagined rumour come true. F-Zero and Mario Sunshine in HD? HELL YES

I will update this when Half Life 3 arrives. [Started 17/11/2015]

I'm assuming a Mario sports title or another collab with a B-level Nintendo franchise will be announced.

otherwise, I can't see them announcing much for Wii U, at least in terms of major retail stuff. Since we know about like...8+ Nintendo published upcoming Wii U titles. 3DS could use a new game for 2015.

Obviously their focus will change, but they have already announced a lot of games they haven't said a lot about yet. I selfishly hope for more announcements, but if its only the E3 stuff in detail then I can live with that

I want the name to be fake, ReUmagined is just really bad!

I hope not. They have way too many games stuck in limbo for them to add another.

Which games do you consider to be in limbo?

Well they have already announced a new Yoshi game and a new Kirby game. They also have two Mario spin-offs coming, Captain Toad and Mario vs. Donkey Kong. Then they have some newer IP in the form of Xenoblade and Splatoon. Last but not least, finally a new Star Fox!!!! So I am not sure what else they could announce

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Zelda (sure they say 2015 but, after years of Smash delays, I don’t trust them)
FE x SMT (has there been any word at all on this lately?)
Starfox (Why talk about a game you maybe might possibly make … if you can find the right developer at some point in the future)

Then there are the HD remakes that they keep teasing but never announcing.

They're probably going to save a lot of the big name stuff for E3, I imagine around that time we'll probably see stuff like Animal Crossing U, Paper Mario U, Metroid, maybe some kind of collectathon Mario game. In the meantime though, I think sports and remakes are good games to announce early next year, and then probably more details on some of the games we saw at E3 that are coming out in 2015.

I think they should announce more 3DS games. The Wii U has plenty of games coming next year whereas the 3DS hardly has any worth noticing.

Well, we already know that Star Fox is in development, it was slated for a 2015 release by Nintendo of America, so,.........if it's not delayed, I'm guessing they are looking at a November 2015 release, considering Star Fox is one of the core franchises, and one which we haven't seen in sometime,......they will probably be able to build up quite a bit of hype in relation to it.

I also think Animal Crossing for the Wii U is in development, given the Animal Crossing Plaza app for the Wii U and the fact that a lot of the MK8 DLC seems to be dealing with Animal Crossing (a bit of a random IP to choose, no?).

I also reckon Retro has probably starting devlopment on a new Metroid title, but I think 2016 would probably be a more realistic timetable for that title. I'm just gonna say that one because Miyamoto has already alluded that Retro would be front runners for any future Metroid development, and with COD gone, the Wii U is missing any new FPS's, I guess Splatoon kinda fills that void, but not really.........

Not sure if any of you read the EDGE article with Miyamoto last month but he said they had a few new Garage games in development, they only choose a few to bring to E3.

FYI the Garage is the new experimental playground studio supervised by Miyamoto, Splatoon is the first major project so its success or failure will have an effect on Nintendo vision going forward.

Oh yeah, especially with New 3DS coming out, they're going to want to show off some exclusive/enhanced games for that. Right now I'm guessing that the next Zelda game is going to be one (possibly even N3DS exclusive depending on how demanding it is), the next Pokemon game (probably Z/XY2) is probably going to be N3DS enhanced with improved frame rate and a controllable camera, and the new Metroid game might also have a controllable camera as well.

I liked to be surprised as well but with stuff that is actually being released in the near future with a set in stone release date. Not 1-2 years away.

With the way things currently are unless it has an exact date then I add at least 3 months to any expected time they say. All they need to do is wait until they know properly when it is ready.

I wish Kirby / Yoshi / Captain Toad / Mario vs DK were not all just more of the same with nicer graphics. (And no ways to die in Yoshi)

Well, 2015 already has Zelda U, Starfox, Kirby, Mario Maker, Splatoon, Mario Party 10, Devil's Third, Yoshi's Wooly World, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Mario VS Donkey Kong, Project Guard, Project Giant Robot, and Captain Toad (which I hear was just delayed to 2015 in NA too?), which is 13 games (one more than one game per month), so I'm not really sure what else they could announce for next year, TBH. Yeah, some of those games will probably be eShop releases, but it's still looking to be a pretty full year (even if one or two of those games gets delayed into 2016). Heck, Wii U potentially has 3 more releases than announced, providing we get a suprise announcement regarding FE X SMT, Pokkén console port, or Fatal Frame 5 localization.

Like it or not, I think they're going to start announcing a bit more on the 3DS side of things. After all, they have a new model to push (New 3DS), and only have three Nintendo published titles announced so far (a far cry from Wii U's 13 - 16), which are S.T.E.A.M., Fossil Fighters, & Xenoblade (N3DS exclusive).
