All I know is the more realistic games get the less I want them. I still admit the new games coming out are impressive but not really my taste anymore.

FFXV: [youtube:LBilT83Uq4A]
and The Order 1886: [youtube:XQzm9lwc2Tk]

Both show the visible gap in power between Wii U and PS4, now this isn't a bad thing but there clearly is a gap in power and both these games are stunning (coming from a person who games on PC) but I also think X and Bayonetta 2 look pretty nice too.

This still aguably the same gap that was present on the Xbox 360 and PS3, though. Games like the Order 1886, and even FFXV aren't that much of a step higher from something The Last of Us and Beyond Two Souls. When you consider the time frame that Nintendo started HD development, it shouldn't come as a surprise that lot of their games look like they were from 2010 and 2011. Knowing how 3rd parties develop games, most of the stuff on Xbox One and PS4 are just slight enhancements. Since Nintendo exclusively develops for Wii U, anything they did can't really be recoded to push the hardware, after the fact.

It's basically guaranteed that Wii U will outperform visual fidelty that is found on PS3 exclusives, and that brings us to basically to what PS4 has to offer now. Maybe not completely, and no one really knows that, but I don't think Killzone Shadowfall or even Titanfall is what people should should be basing their expectations on.

Compare:

Wii U is more capable than PS3. It just hasn't gotten there yet. Also, quick time events and utilizing interactive cutscenes isn't really that impressive. Admittedly, it depends on their use, but Sony's reliance on it is ridiculous, IMO.

yes, graphics wise.
but if graphics where all any game could be played on a N64 with lower graphics and less polygons... sadly that's not the truth.

There might be new additions. As far as I can tell, they bring those facebook share button and recording of gameplay. In game there might be more expansive, AI and the sorts. Might. But as far as graphics, yeah... it really looks all the same. The negligible differences are worthless.

Exactly. But people need to justify their new consoles so they think posting pictures from different games proves something for some reason. For example, I am looking at what's supposed to be infamous I think, and these are cutscenes, right? (if it's in game I can't think of what the game is). One is a little more zoomed in than another. That's what I'm looking at. None of them seem particularly impressive. Weird posts like that. The other comparison is between a pretty cool tank in a sand setting compared to a mostly greenish jungle setting. None is better than the other.

Yes I find the Wii & the Wii U graphic wise pretty much the same too, like you say it's all the same.
