Nintendo did such a great job with Super Mario U bringing back the best of everything all Mario games have to offer. I have beaten it at least 4 times since I purchased the system. The one thing Nintendo needs to remember is what we loved about the old games and they remembered it brilliantly for Mario. My suggestion is to do the same with Contra, Battletoads, Double Dragon, and most importantly CASTLEVANIA. Can any of you imagine how AWESOME a new side scrolling (possible multiplayer) Castlevania would be if they did it as well as Mario??? People would have NO CHOICE but to purchase the Wii U. Words cannot describe. My God, the possibilities.

Also I will be anxiously awaiting Mario Kart U.

i do at least sort of agree, nintendo fans seem to be the ones most into retro gaming (i think anyway). if they get there name out as as both a fully capable platform for the most modern of games, plenty of retro titles for the eshop and things like dk country returns and nsmb then people will jump on board as nothing else offers this experience.

If we're talking Sega, I'm still waiting for new Shinobi and Streets of Rage. Never going to happen. Note that that's new games, too: I have the old games and have no interest in seeing them remade with prettier graphics.

Nintendo can't make anyone revive the Contra, Castlevania, Battletoads or Double Dragon series, they're all third party. And as for Battletoads, I suspect a sequel will never be made now Rare is owned by Microsoft.

Castlevania and Contra have some semblance of hope though, Konami still made 2D Castlevania games for years and Contra got a 2D sequel a few years ago as well, so maybe similar games will one day be on the Wii U.

Contra rebirth on wiiware was really good, so getting another one on the eshop isn't completely out of the question. Just highly unlikely.

Apparently there is a Contra game coming for 3DS. But it has been a while since Konami has updated the status on that.

I'd love to see these games too, but the chances seem fairly low I'm afraid. Also, who are you asking to make these games? Nintendo? This isn't their website, this is a simple fan site that has no power over the development of games.

Castlevania V would be awesome. A true sequel to Super Castlevania IV, by far the best Castlevania game ever.

Amd they've all been done already, except Battletoads...seriously, Contra Rebirth and Castlevania ReBirth, while not the greatest games, are on Wiiware. Double Dragon Neon is out on other consoles and PC(I think), and it wouldn't surprise me if it gets ported to the Wii U eventually.
