So the Star Fox Zero concept of asymmetric aiming (that people are whinging about)
They can make gyroscope controls optional. The big thing they're trying to show off is the Gamepad's usage for visors and changing beams. The former in particular would be a great use for the Gamepad.
with the same UI, graphics and gameplay of the 3 Prime games
Well it's to be expected that the UI and graphics are going to change in the next game. As for gameplay, I seem to recall Tanabe saying something about time travel, but whatever the case I'm sure he'll think of something. Metroid hasn't been frequent enough to run out of ideas yet and the Prime series has an excellent track record with unique gameplay mechanics.
They really should have given the Other M gameplay another try with the Wii U: 3rd-person perspective on the TV, map and, when hitting a button (or two, ZR+ZL would be a good option), visor view/1st-person perspective on the gamepad.
They'd have to lock Sakamoto in a closet when they're working on the story of course
God no. Switching between first and third person in Other M was extremely clunky.
