Topic: A few questions on Owning 2 Wii U's...

I know that accounts don't sync with nintendo IDs, saves, eShop downloads etc etc but I have a few questions.

1) Can I run the same Nintendo ID on a different machine?
2) Is it possible to move my saves and eShop purchases and other settings to my new Wii U, and how easy is it?

Thanks!

1. Nope

2. Not unless you do a transfer but once you do that you can't put the stuff back on the original Wii U.

I thought only Nintendo could transfer Wii U data.

I thought that they made it so you can when they brought the Zelda Wii U.

Googled it seems you still can't transfer Wii U to Wii U without going through Nintendo.

Nope. You can only use a single Nintendo ID on 1 Wii U and 1 3DS. No more.

And that begs the question, if I am able to share between 1 Wii U and 1 3DS, what is stopping it from sharing between Wii Us and more than 1 3DS? Nintendo what are you smoking?

Interesting, I'm going to call Nintendo tomorrow see what they say. I'm curious what they'll tell me more then anything. Though I trust you guys 100 and I'm sure they'll say the same thing.

Here's another question.

What is stored on external drives Play data and downloaded games?

I'll post back what Nintendo says in our phone call.

The external USB storage stores your save files and downloaded digital games. I also back up my save files in a USB stick. Hey it's better to be safe than sorry right? 400 hours in Monster hunter is no joke.
