There haven't been any 3DS HD remakes on Wii U, and it seems like a good opportunity.
I personally would like to see Kid Icarus: Uprising, Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor 1+2, Fire Emblem Awakening, and the Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate HD version we were all expecting. Some of these games could be a good opportunity for Nintendo to pick up on Cross-play.

The best use of tutorials I have seen in a while was in Fire Emblem Awakening. They helped out new players easily without hindering the patience of returning players, the bottom screen tutorials worked great. Dream Team's tutorials kind of disrupted the flow of gameplay, they were all like "Hey stop what you're doing, what's this thingy? Is it an ABILITY? Let's check it out!"

Animal Crossing: New Leaf HD? (all i really need is an AC Wii U.)
but to be serious, i would not mind Mario Golf: World Tour come Wii U (even tho i don't own it.)
My Top 9 Favorite Games of All time.
1. Judgement
2. Baldur's Gate 3
3. Bully (Rockstar)
4. Person 4 / Golden
5. Sonic Adventure 2
6. Xenoblade X
7. Ape Escape 2
8. Animal Crossing: New Leaf
9. James Bond 007 Nightfire
Kingdom Hearts 3D HD. It makes perfect sense for Square Enix to do.
Some random dude on Nintendo Life.
Toriel left for a while, so Freaky Fred took over her place!
Not changing this part of the signature until Nintendo announces Super Mario Sunshine 2.

Definitely Monster Hunter... the game would be perfect on home consoles in HD! Wish they made X on Wii U (or PS/Xbox) instead of 3ds again.
Other than that hm, maybe Shin Megami Tesnei IV and Animal Crossing/Fantasy Life
Monster Hunter in HD already happened. It's called "Monster Hunter 3 Ulimate".
And X is HEADING to Wii U, not 3DS.
Dream on. MH3U wasn't exclusive to the 3DS due to lack of online play. MH4U got online play, therefore an HD version wasn't necessary. They could make even more Monster Hunter games than waste time making, already flawless, games in HD.
Kid Icarus Uprising in HD would be gorgeous, and they have everything they need for the controls to work as well. Monster Hunter would be great too, I could definitely see that working and it would be absolutely stunning on the WiiU. Instead we're getting another entry on the handheld with flashier moves..which I'm totally going to get regardless.

I dunno about FE: Awakening though. I feel like that was made for handheld. I don't think an HD version would really add anything.
Well it could look better, run better, and I would get to play it
I disagree it would look better. I think the visual style they went with looks best in low resolution and that those sprite characters would look a bit weird in 1080p. And what's wrong with how it currently runs?
I would love Dream Team in HD. I don't see why everyone hates it because of the tutorials.
Or they could just make a new Mario and Luigi...
My problem with the tutorials isn't the number of them (the game makes it easy to scroll through the text quickly), it's that I felt they solve too many of the game's puzzles for you. I think I had to play all the way up to the beach area before I felt like the game was finally starting to let me figure things out for myself, and that's just weird.
Yeah, I just played through the mountain area again and I feel you there. It's one of the few games where the tutorials have actively bugged me. Still great, though.
But really, let's think this through. How many console-quality games are there on 3DS? I'm not talking about graphics, but game design. There's a lot of shallow games on 3DS by design. The only big games that would translate well to console are the Zelda remakes (already on Virtual Console), Monster Hunter 4, 3D Land, and maybe Pokemon.
It can't be understated that the 3DS has a much larger install base and the Wii U's graphical ceiling is much more demanding than the 3DS'.
Even games like Dream Team would have to be heavily reworked to even make sense on console. Best just make new games that fit for the platform, as ports aren't liable to be killer apps.
