What do you think.........we have already seen console ports for the 3DS (DKC: Returns and Xenoblade Chronicles), maybe it's time to switch it around......
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon
This one is a no brainer as it would fit great with the Wii U, the gamepad could be utilized as the dual scream , aka, the games DS, mostly to map out the mansion's layout, and to act as Professor E. Gadd's communication device with Luigi. You could also utilize the gamepad for the frequent gyroscope moments(looking out windows, watching scripted scenes, etc.) Luigi's Mansion already showcases a good amount of detail in the environments, and it would look stunning in HD with spruced up textures. Plus as you'll see in all of these games, the depth is there, with a story mode that takes about 12-14 hours.
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Again, a bit of an obvious inclusion, this game could look amazing with reworked textures and animations for the big screen (and yes, with feet). The atmosphere and production values are already there, great voice acting, amazing cut scenes (that would be gorgeous in 1080p), and a campaign that has unsurpassed depth. You wouldn't have to do anything that innovative for the gamepad, use it as a stat screen, or possibly move around the characters with the stylus, etc.
Kid Icarus: Uprising
The graphics would be outrageous in HD with kicked up textures. This game had a single player mode that is easily console quality in terms of depth and production values. Main movement / aiming would be through dual sticks on the gamepad, or using the wiimote + nunchuck. The gamepad screen would be utilized for the main dialogue scenes, IE show a animation of Palutena as she chats away, and use the TV for all of the action. All of the included modes, variable difficulty selections, online play, and weapons, would give this a game a chance to shine on the console.
They would need to do quite a bit of work for 3DS games ported to Wii U might as well just stick to making new games seeing as a large percentage of Wii U owners have 3DSes.
I would love to see both Luigi Mansions be remastered for the Wii U in a single release.
I agree, it feels like it was made for the Wii U, plus I think Luigi's Mansion would require the least amount of work,......Kid Icarus would require the most, given the huge environments, but it would be the most impressive to see in HD.
If they remake Awakening, their feet has to be omitted. Sorry, guys.
Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
Now playing:
Final Fantasy XIV (PC) | The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) | Celeste (Switch)
Putting 3DS games on Wii U is a HORRIBLE idea! It's bad enough that 3DS isn't getting enough support, BUT PUTTING SOME OF THE BEST CONSOLE EXCLUSIVES ON WII U?!?!?!?!? THAT WILL KILL THE 3DS FOR SURE!!!!!
"I'll take a potato chip... AND EAT IT!"
Light Yagami, Death Note
"Ah, the Breakfast Club soundtrack! I can't wait 'til I'm old enough to feel ways about stuff!"
Phillip J. Fry, Futurama

How is porting old games to the Wii U going to kill the 3DS? They sure as Hell aren't going to hurt the 3DS as much as SSB for 3DS is going hurt the Wii U.
Honestly, Wii U could do with something Pokémon-related (Nothing prints money quite like Pokémon ), like was suggested: "Pokémon Snap 2", imagine that concept with today's technology (And pokémon added in since Gen 1, there's enough of them for a huge number of levels now), or a new "Pokémon stadium" (With some USB-device allowing you to use Pokémon off your X/Y cartridge), basically anything to bring the glorious majesty of Pokémon to the Wii U
Now you see, evil will always triumph, because good is dumb! >:D
