Hello everybody!

I own 3D Land for my 3DS and i'm now thinking of getting 3D World for my Wii U. I wonder about the map's though, are they reused or are there brand new one's in 3D World?

Thanks in advance, Benjamin.

Mainly brand new, actually. They do reuse a couple of them, but they still look fresh.

Now buy 3D World, it's great!

Maps? As in the levels? Yeah, they're new. But if you ask me I'd say 3D World is only really worth getting if you plan on playing it in multiplayer.

@BearHunger sadly i've got no one to play with but myself LOL, none of my friend's are into Nintendo or gaming (at least gaming a lot, like i do heh). Does it support online multiplayer?

@brewsky allright sound's cool, it does look very fun

@BenjaminAran No, online multiplayer is not supported (for good reason), but you'll still enjoy the game in single player. You just don't get the competitive portion of the experience.

@brewsky It is a shame that it isn't like it was when i was growing up. When we would gather a couple of friend's and play Super Smash Bros Melee and Double Dash. Damn... good times! But good to hear that the singleplayer experience is good aswell.. i am thinking of getting Super Mario Galaxy instead though.. i'll have to think about it.

Ooh….tough choice. Both are really good games. Maybe you can get Galaxy since it's cheaper and play that while you wait for a price drop on 3D World?

Yeah not a bad idea! Especially with MK8 coming up it would be nice for le old wallet if i chose the cheaper alternative (cheap but still great).

The games are completely different and not at all similar. World is a much better game, with great multiplayer, but also deep single player.
3D Land is special mostly because of the 3D use and has short fun levels, completely different than World.

And, without comparing levels, if you play 3D World on a nice big HD screen with a good surround sound system, the gaming experience becomes so much higher than on a 3DS. The visuals and the music in 3D World is absolutely top notch.

It's just a crying shame the Wii U 3D world does not support 3D like 3D land on the 3DS.

Clearly 3D was a gimmic they banked on when making the 3DS that Nintendo has all but abandoned by releasing the 2DS, gimped 3D in games like Pokemon, and the total lack of 3D on the Wii U.

3D really added a lot to the 3D land experience and 3D world suffers for not having that option. I really wish they would patch it in because I really want to play 3D world in 3D.

3D World is absolutely great. IMO it's possibly one of the best Mario games ever. It's even my personal favorite. I recommend it so hard. Please, do it for yourself lol

I can't emphasize how much you're missing out if you don't get SM3DW. I reviewed the game on my channel, and you're welcome to check it out, to get my full opinions on the game (it's a lot to type here), but it really is a masterpiece not to be missed out on.

Also, don't worry that you have no one to play with at the moment, I'm sure you'll make some new friends or even that one friend who shares your interests, and you'll find the Wii U's local gameplay to be absolutely phenomenal (and that person might even be a girl lmao)

BUY IT!!!!

If you like Super Mario 3D Land and would like more of that, but with more characters, double the frames per second, and better visuals, then 3D World is most likely worth shelling out the money for.

If you're looking for a good 3D platformer on Wii U that's a little different, then I'd recommend Sonic Lost World. There's a demo on the eShop; it's worth trying out. Super Mario 3D World is the safer bet, though.

3D World for 4 player insanity.
3D Land for a quick Mario game.

Also, when does a Mario game get a price drop?? Very rarely. Same with most of Nintendo's other IP's.
