The first 2 Ironman games suffered from the movie license video game suckiness that we all know and hate. What do you guys think are so good ideas for making a great Ironman game like the Batman Arkham game were. There was a Marvel movie marathon this week and I watched both 1 and 2 multple times. I couldn't stop but think how awesome those scenes are when you see the inside HUD of the helmet. Along side that when it shows it in first person and Tony Stark is scanning objects and people.
So I think they should take those ques from the movies and make a first person/ 3rd person scanning (ala Metroid Prime) game. It coudl be great in the right hands! Your thoughts on this idea and what other ideas you guys have?
That sounds awesome. And while we're discussing superhero videogames, what happened to that Deadpool game? Did they ever announce it for Wii U or something?
It is still in development and I am not sure about it being announced for Wii U. I am sure it will be.
Ironman 2 is right now on FX so I was in the mood.
Either of you guys ever get the other 2 Wii games? I never did but have been thinking about it, despite terrible reviews.
The last great X-man game was on the gamecube. But I'd prefer a Dr Strange videogame to be perfectly honest
How much you wanna bet there will be a Doctor Strange movie in the near ish future?
Already in development. The supposed plan is that his flick will pop-up during "Phase 3" of the Marvel movie-universe series (in other words, after this round of movies is capped off by Avengers 2).
A good Iron Man game already exists. It's called Batman minus Ironman. Just kidding everyone.
Seriously though, the only good Marvel games out there are the Marvel vs. Capcom games, and that's because Marvel doesn't actually develop the games.
WB is the core of tons of franchises which is why their games are better. They focus more on the video games than they do the movies.
I jumped off the 'Marvel is awesome' train after Spiderman 3(which I didn't like). I just couldn't stand the hype around the Marvel movies anymore. Ironman(movie) was horrible IMO, so I stopped paying attention.
I didn't even know there were Ironman games honestly.
The reason DC comic book characters (usually) have such great games made about them (Arkham, Lego Batman, Injustice) is that Warner Brothers has the in house infrastructure to produce high quality games that don't let down the fans. Marvel licenses it's games out to any Tom, Dick and Harry. Even under Disney this doesn't look like it's going to change- the next Marvel game is going to be Lego Marvel Suerheroes MADE BY WARNER BROS.
So the chances are it'll be better than the usual rubbish from the house that Stan built.
Isn't it obvious that Falco Lombardi is actually a parrot?

Spiderman 2, Ultimate Spiderman, Hulk Ultmate Destruction, Ultimate Alliance, and that X-Men game back for the GCN were awesome games!
I actually really liked the N64 Spiderman game! Such an underrated video game!
Warner Games knows the DC lisence and develops stuff internally with alot of input from DC. Marvel farms their games out meaning the quality can be good (spider-man web of shadows) to hot crap (xmen destiny)
Lego Marvel Superheroes looks like a realyl fun game though.

I actually liked the first Spideman game, but I didn't like the second one. I hear the other games you mentioned were ok, but not Ultimste Alliance. I played that one and didn't like it.
@Sony_70
You do know that WB is making the Marvel Lego game? WB owns the Lego media rights, so the people that own/are DC are making the Lego Marvel game.

I think it would be great, although very unlikely that after Retro Studios gets done with their latest Nintendo project, they could try a 3rd party game using a newly revised engine based off of the Metroid Prime series.
An Iron Man game that does for Iron Man what the Arkham games did for the Bat would be awesome. It would have to be a lot less dark than the Arkham games - this is Iron Man we're talking about, not Batman. Open world would be cool, as flying around as Tony Stark without a care in the world would probably be an amazing experience. Home base would be Stark Tower, where the player could upgrade Tony's gear and switch suits. I think a suit switching mechanic would be really neat if all of the different suits handled differently. For example, obviously Hulk Buster would act vastly different from Iron Man's regular suit. This would add a lot of depth - players could figure out which suit works best for their style of play, or perhaps which suit would be good to combat which enemy. Good voice acting is a must, with witty commentary between Tony, Jarvis, and Pepper going on during battles.
Side note - is anybody else watching Iron Man 3? I'm going on Monday, and I'm pretty darn excited.
@Captain_Balko
Great ideas! I think this game would be awesome if they included the almost limitless costumes/suits!
Oh and I am going to the midnight premier here on Thursday night. Can't wait!!!
