1) Lighter OS

________________

The Wii U has only been out for a little over a week, and as we all should expect, there are some hiccups with the system. Ranging from CPU capabilities in games like Black Ops 2, to loading issues of MiiVerse, to capabilties of the Wii Mode. Nintendo first and foremost needs to focus on streamlining their OS, both in the space it takes up on the internal memory and the threading process usage on the CPU. I believe from well placed intentions, that Nintendo has not fully unlocked the Wii U's processing power. I think that in either them waiting for the next gen consoles to appear, or a rushed job on the OS, that they haven't allowed Devs to tap the full potential of the Wii U.

2) Redoing Voice

___________

In order for Nintendo to gain a good foothold in what they call their social console, Nintendo seems to have missed a very key social aspect: Voice. Nintendo needs to take a page from Microsoft and integrate system-wide chat, and even chat parties (groups, or whatever fancy term the please). Without voice, gaining converts from other consoles will likely be short-lived.

3) Video

__________

Nintendo has gotten a good foothold in the video marketplace with Amazon, Hulu, and Netflix. Don't stop there, add Crackle, Vimeo, and other major video sites. Youtube should be added to the TVii, since several series on channels like Machinima are widely viewed. With video this brings the next point.

4) Social Networking

______________

Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Nintendo Life, IGN, for goodness sake, Nintendo wants to be social, so give us some outlets to post what we're doing.

5) Acheivements

________________

Not the most widely popular subject, with many on the do or don't side, I think it would be beneficial, seeing as Nintendo is the only system without and integrated rewards system. I'd like an Achievement for stomping a 1,000 Goomba's.

6) Pokemon

____________________

It's about time Game Freak should step off the pedestal of gravy train money making and put some effort into a full fledged Pokemon Title for the Wii U. Call it Pokemon Universe. It should have all the areas from Kanto to Unova. It should have all the cities from the games with the looks that are found in the TV show (even include James's Manor with Growlithe). It should allow you to make a character and choose how they look, and choose where you want to start, with each region carrying a different story line that relates to the next region and so on so forth. Allow our friends to hop in and join our quest (and not just the friends sitting next to us). Let us link with our games from the DS and 3DS, and even transfer them into the game. Don't make this a Battle Revolution second rate title, make it an all expanding version of the handhelds in full 3D glory, where I can battle wherever I want to, and not have to run through grass to find a pokemon.

7) MMO's

___________________

Nintendo has the unique opportunity to allow Devs like BioWare and Blizzard to port their massive titles to the Wii U, and with the availability of 3 terabytes, there's no performance or space issues.

8) Donkey Kong

________________

I still own the last Donkey Kong title that was actually 3D. Donkey Kong 64 fit nicely into my 3rd place among the top N64 games of all time. I think a sequel or remake is in order!

9) New Nintendo IPs

____________________

Give us someone else to look up to other than an Japanese made Italian English Speaking Plumber from the land of too many Hits.

10) Bring back all the Classics

________________________

Give us Starfox, F-Zero, Banjo Kazooie, Luigi's Mansion, Wave Race, Conker, 1080 Snowboarding, Excitebike, Diddy Kong Racing! Give us all the best of every console, and bring them back with new games. Make deals, get publishing rights , do whatever, but get back the classics, and it will pay off!

What do you guys think? Add some more onto the list you would like to see, and reach this out to Nintendo, we need to speak up!!

@WhiteKnight
By the time #1 happens, Apple will be back where it was before Steve Jobs, worth less than a penny.

Even if they did, then all that would be would be Xbox and Playstation, because Apple will never enter the gaming business, unless Johnny Ives becomes their Chief. So for the moment, I like the idea of having the Italian Plumber around, lol.

No. Pokemon should never, EVER be like the anime. I would rather the series die out as a whole if the games became like the anime.

This is slowly, but surely, turning into a Nintendo and Apple fight.

About achievements, they're not even a real reward system. I would rather have developers make a TRUE reward system like in Brawl, Kid Icarus Uprising and similar games OF THEIR OWN FREE WILL rather than being FORCED to slap on a meaningless fake one like on most PS360 games. Simply accumulating points for no reason or for merely bragging rights is NOT a rewards system in anyway whatsoever.
On the MMO front, we're getting Dragon Quest X, though if that's a subscription-based game, then I don't think I'll be playing that. Ghost Recon Online Wii U is on hold for now, but we'll probably see it on Wii U one day. Now the biggest MMO that Nintendo can score right now would be Phantasy Star Online 2. It makes absolutely no sense for it to NOT appear on Wii U. Wii U is far more than powerful enough to handle that game at it's best graphics, and you have plenty of Phantasy Star Online fans on Nintendo consoles, many of which would love to be able to play the series again on a Nintendo console. The Gamepad would also work perfectly with the game. If Sony can score a Vita version, Nintendo should score a Wii U one (maybe 3DS as well, but then again, 3DS already has Monster Hunter). I think I'm not alone on this issue.
As for new Nintendo IPs, Nintendo makes new IPs every generation. It's just no one ever pays attention to them and then start complaining about Nintendo never making new IPs. The ignorant are blind indeed.

So, kill gaming? If you hate this industry so much, then stay out of it.

@Koto exactly about the iP thing, chibi Robo was one of my favorite GCN games, yet no one knows about it, for DS it's Ouendan yet it's Japanese only, as for wii, I think it's just the wii series sadly, 3DS has 4 new ips that are DL only

1) Lighter OS
I don't have first hand experience with that yet, but I've heard about horrible loading times and electricity consumption. Knowing from my "since launch" time with my Xbox 360 (well I had 3 already thanks to the red ring of death, lol) the OS has been updated and changed quite a lot over the time, optimizing it over the time and at the moment it's blazingly fast (only looks like Windows 8, which is quite "hateable") so I guess it's almost a given that there will be updates in the near to mid-future making things smoother!

2) Redoing Voice
I completely agree with you there. I plan to make the Wii U jump once I've found out about at least 3 games I really want to play (only at 1 at the moment, which is the New Super Mario Brothers U game) and found it really disappointing to read about how poor voice chat is handled since it has become a "GIVEN" for me as 360 and PC gamer over the past years.

3) Video
I personally don't mind too much about it, I have plenty of other sources for video and thelike, if I have youtube, I'll be fine.

4) Social Networking
Personally I hate Twitter, Facebook etc... I'd be fine with a fully implemented and fleshed out Miiverse where you can talk/post about what really matters on a gaming console: the games.

5) Acheivements
The novelty of achievements wore off rather quickly when I got into 360 gaming, now they're mostly annoying or useless, either they are achievements they just freely throw at you for doing things that are inevitable when you play through the game, so anyone will have those achievements or the achievements make you play the game differently than you normally would, once you start being in "collectors mood". I'd rather have no achievements but proper UNLOCKS of bonus content for certain feats and accomplishments.

6) Pokemon
I personally don't care for pokemon anymore, but I'm all for the "universe" idea. Can you imagine a "bloated" over the top, stuck full with content Monster Hunter Universe game! Oh my god I have to close my mouth...

7) MMO's
Technically this would work wonderfully, I'd rather have the "not so much known" ones like "RaiderZ" or maybe even Planetside 2 on the Wii U, they'd have to properly include voice chat and give you the option to make easy to press combat and chat macros accessible on the touchscreen, this would be a occasion to really shine with innovation. Wii U could be THE MMO console. Many awesome asian MMOs out there that would just be wonderful on the Wii U. Please no WoW, it destroys your life and eats all your time and when you realize you just wasted your best years with a useless kiddy game, its too late!

8) Donkey Kong
I no like the monkey!

9) New Nintendo IPs
Risky in these times but Im all for it. Would be wonderfull if we could get a surprise release of something, maybe even something mature in the veign of "Project Zero - Crimson Butterfly"! Awesome!

10) Bring back all the Classics
Yep definitely.

What I want to add is, what Nintendo REALLY needs to do BADLY is make all their first party titles FULLY utilize the gamepad. All of those games should have "second screen play" AND there should be something truly amazing like... Mario Kart U, draw your course layouts on the touchscreen, maybe even design textures for your karts, what about assymmetric gameplay? 4 people race on Wii remotes or Pro Controllers while one is racing on the gamepad basicly playing as the "environment" triggering traps and environmental effects. Stuff like that. Don't only TALK about innovation Nintendo. Innovate. Or hire me!
