Explaining why we don't like a specific on-topic game when asked, is on-topic. There wouldn't be much point in everyone just listing their worst VC game, then leaving.
I think SMRPG was overhyped largely due to the fact that Nintendo didn't release it outside Japan for over a decade (and I certainly felt entitled to it when it was released).
When I finally played SMRG on VC I didn't think it was as good as Paper Mario.
What do you mean, "didn't release it outside Japan for over a decade?" North America got it two months after Japan in 1996! It wasn't released on SNES in PAL regions, of course. I guess that's what you meant.
My weigh-in on SMRPG: It, just like Earthbound, is beloved for its charm. I don't love it as much as I used to, but it's still an old favorite of mine nonetheless, and I'm very happy to have it on my Wii. I also think that the discussion of it on this thread extended past that of other games because it's so well-loved, whereas most games people have said they hated are more or less unanimous.
My Backloggery Updated sporadically. Got my important online ID's on there, anyway. :P
Space Invaders the Original Game is awesome -- it's bloody Space Invaders how could it not be? I do wish I had known there was a PC Engine version so I could have waited to buy that instead and not have to plug in the Classic Controller to play a game that uses 1 freaking button, though...
My most hated VC download would have to be Super Mario 3 * ducks *.

Do you prefer Paper Mario's battling system, or do you just think the whole idea is bad? Just curious.
I love Paper Mario! Instead of tacking timed hits onto a traditional RPG, Paper Mario incorporated the action commands flawlessly. As well as all of the other great unconventional stuff. The paper aesthetic was awesome, and it was charming all around, much more so than SMRPG, and that was pretty much all it had.
I'm playing TTYD now, I have the first crystal star (I've probably gotten 3-4 years ago at a friend's, but I don't remember much) and it's quite awesome too.
Super Paper Mario was a turn for the worse, it was good, but vastly inferior to the earlier ones.
Yeah, I thought Paper Mario's battle system was less clumsy. TTYD was probably a better game if I'm honest, but I prefer the first one as I think it has more retro charm.
03bgood Wrote: This forum is pointless!! You're all listing a bunch of great games! SMRPG, PM, KDC, KDL3, those are all good games.
I made this forum so people could express their own opinions on games, if they don't like a game there is nothing you can do about it, so please do not post complaints, not everybody is in to the same thing
the worst i have downloaded is lylat wars really because on super mario world you can save but not on lylat wars which is a N64 game
I would actually consider this game, but no save = no sale for me...
Why would you need to save?! The game completes in 1 hr, you can't really play it for much longer. (OK, 1 and a half maybe if you're having a good run and open up the medium/hard routes.) It's designed to be played to the finish again and again for hi-scores, which are saved, by the way, along with other stats. The game is too short to need save points midway.
Tsk Tsk i hoped to see something more intelegent here, but this topic is even worst that Kotaku/IGN comments.
Just because a game have a flaw or too doesn't make it "The worst VC ever."
So, all of you are human, so you have flaws, so all of you in the same pres pective are "The worst Human ever." ...Yes some of the coments here are THAT stupid.

You spelt intelligent incorrectly. Don't get me wrong, we all make typing errors, but nonetheless, that is beautifully ironic.
