Have you ever actually needed to play five players and not had a Gamecube pad?

I play in five players with a gamecube pad but my question was about the Wii U, when we transfer this games we will lose this option and only we will allowed to play in 4 players mode.

Let's hope an Earth Bound more improved than the original SNES version. But I believe that will be wrong.

I'm still interested in getting a new console before the end of the year, either a 360, PS3 or the Wii U. I really wish Nintendo would release more information on how the VC and the transfer system is gonna work on the Wii U, as that could really sway my decision. If all my VC games get upgraded to have save states, custom controls, etc. I would strongly consider getting a Wii U. However, if all my transfered games are isolated to the "Wii Mode" without enhancements, and if I have to re-buy games I already bought to be able to have save states, then I may pass on a Wii U for now.

@brooks83: Wii VC games will be transferable so you will not have to re-buy them at least.

Yeah that is comforting, but there is still a chance that they will add things like save states to the VC games in the Wii U's eShop and have us re-buy the games for the added features. I just hope Nintendo gives us some more details about this before the Wii U launches.

Nintendo updated the Ambassador games when they got extra features. I'd find it hard to believe Nintendo wouldn't include them as free updates if they do upgrade them.

I'm hoping the releases will pick up again once the Wii U gets released.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

Same here, but unfortunately I doubt that means Konami will snap back to it any time soon.

I still want Contra, Rocket Knight Adventures, and Jackal!

Saturn emulation is possible. Panzer Dragoon Orta on the Xbox included the original Panzer Dragoon game and it was emulated perfectly.

That was the PC version of Panzer Dragoon. And just in case people ask:

-Sonic R on Sonic Gems Collection was also the PC version.
-NiGHTS on PS2, PS3, 360, and PC is a remake from the ground up which is why the controls are slightly off.
-Guardian Heroes on 360 seems to be nothing more than a very faithful remake, but I'm not exactly sure about that one.

Yeah, the Saturn is really awkward to emulate. I don't recall the exact technical details as to why it is though.

I don't believe that. The Dreamcast is emulated just fine, so how can a inferior system not be emulated?

Saturn may be less powerful, but it's one of the most complex consoles ever built. Emulating certain aspects of the Saturn such as the dual processors is very tricky.

How is the VC service in Wii U? Does it have more options or better search? how is the presentation? What about the games that don´t are available like Ninja Spirit? Do you can transfer it if you have it in Wii?, do you can see an update of the old tytle when you download it again (the non available titles)?

That reminds me...the Wii had issues emulating the FX Chip...what about the Wii U?

Hopefully every system up to (and including!) the Gamecube is emulated eventually.

But someone asked about Ninja Spirit? Yes that transferred, don't worry about that one!

I don´t have a Wii U (only a Wii) and i read about a Wii mode in the Wii U. Do you play the VC emulating the Wii or do you play it like if you downloaded the games directly in the Wii U? sorry my bad english.

From what i understand you play your VC games on the Wii emulator, in other words you don't play them like you downloaded them to the Wii U. As of right now there is no Wii U VC but rather you have to go to Wii mode to downlad VC games (i think?).

If the Wii can't emulate the FX chip? Funny that PCs from 90's, phones from just a few years later and even the Nintendo DS can so I smell bull on that one. It's just laziness - they can't be bothered to put the extra effort in for a couple of FX games. I wouldn't hold your breath for them on the Wii U either as it'll still require extra programming.

I'm really hoping to see an actual VC for the Wii U before too long...I'm sure it would require a big update to the system again, but I got a lot of use out of the Wii VC. I'd like to see some GC games....updated in HD with online capabilities would be nice, but I don't think i see them doing that honestly..hate to talk bad about Nintendo but....

I have to say from the Sega games I've downloaded on my 360, I think Sega knows how to do VC quite well compared to just about anyone else. Updating the graphics a bit, making leader boards, game like Sonic the Fighters will be online. They seem to know how to do it.
