Topic: Which Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game would most like to see next?

Just watched Turtles Forever today.

SNES Tournament Fighters. I never owned the NES port of the arcade game or Turtles In Time so I have no nostalgia for those two. But I do like some Tournament Fighters. It may be basic compared to some of the more well known SNES fighters but it still looks good and plays quite well.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

I am lucky enough to have all the side scrolling TMNT Turtles beat 'em up games on Mega Drive, SNES as well as both the original arcade and Turtles in Time arcade on GameCube, so I would be pleased to see Tournament Fighters as well. I really enjoyed Turtles in Time Re-Shelled on PSN, I think that they did a fine job of updating it visually, despite the negative reviews. I think that I would like to see some sort of a brand new ReBirth edition on WiiWare most of all.
**** Edit: I am talking rubbish in this comment, I do not have all of the side-scrolling beat 'em up Turtles games, because I don't have the NES versions, or the computer conversions like the Amiga port. I have all the 16-bit and arcade versions. Whoops, sorry about that! ****

I am passionate about retro gaming, from antiquated consoles to the continuation of classics. Obviously I love PSone, and PS2 retro games. I blast my ears to breakneck melodic punk, gruff vocals and nimble alternative guitar hooks.

Just bring the classic arcade game to the VC Arcade with fulll 4-player support already. Grrr... it's nonsense to release any other single game out of the franchise's library while that one is still unavailable.

Then Turtles in Time (arcade version!), then TMNT III for NES, because that one was a bit different but I have some fond memories.

Twitter is a good place to throw your nonsense.

I honestly do prefer the original arcade game over Turtle in Time. I believe that's largely due to the 'historical' levels being a terrible fit for the TMNT franchise, in my mind (but the very first level is great, I must say). Kind of ruins all the fun when you're not fighting in the big city; that setting is an inseparable part of Turtles.

It also reminds me all to much of that horrible, horrible third feature film. Sending our four heroes back in time = instantaneous failure.

TMNT III for NES.

Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

Despite licensing issues, we are most likely to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. It's not that hard to change the Pizza Hut ads, they can easily change it.

Either of the TMNT arcade games, NOT the ports.

the nes port of the arcade game was pretty dire, they snes would have handled the port a whole load better, but sadly it wasn`t ment to be.
as for tournament fighters. one of my favourite fighters of the time.
i think konami should at least get the rights to put their old turtles games up for offer on all download services.

I've already got both arcade game (albeit with different music) on my TMNT GameCube games, and I've already got Tournament Fighters and Hyperstone Heist on my Genesis, so other than the bad first NES game which is already on VC anyway, I'm just missing TMNT III for NES, which also happens to be my favorite one (played it years ago at my cousin's house).

By the way, I've found both arcade games to be really hard, especially the first one. Did they tone down the difficulty for the Nintendo console ports? If they did, that would be a good reason for me to get them if they ever come to VC.

If that's the case, Bulbasaur, then that would explain why SNES Turtles in Time is easy and short...

I have TMNT for the NES, and it's still a classic.
The Genesis I bought recently came with Tournament Fighters, and it's ok. The graphics and gameplay are subpar, and the voices are terrible (Donatello sounds like he has laryngitis).

I downloaded the demo of TMNT2 to my 360 a while back, and I didn't like it. However, I think I'll download it just for the heck of it. I'm actually getting bored with the GC beat 'em up. However, if they ever release it to the VC, I'd gladly get it because the XLA doesn't have a classic controler.
