That's strange. Super C is not in the wii shop! I searched and searched and nothing! I was sure that the game was already on the VC! what happened? did they pull it off?!

sirgrim

Says it's still up there on their page. Nintendo

sirgrim

I made an experiment of changing the country on the wii settings from Mexico to the United states...and the darn game appeared!!!

Cool? hell no! Why Nintendo is blocking games to some countries?! isn't mexico suposed part of the american market?! so that means that some games in the future will have the same problem?!

That sucks! >=( yeah I can do the country changing trcik but I DON'T HAVE TOO. sighs

...Hmmm.... Makes me wonder if changing my country would work for any other games... I'm going to check into this man.

It just dawned on me this could be a ratings/cultural thing... Because guns are illegal in Mexico (in some Mexican states it's 5 years in prison for owning just bullets as a civillian). And since that is the case, a gun-heavy game is not something Nintendo will allow devs to post for Mexico... to play it "safe".

@chatham - it could be but it sucks. I mean, super turrican is there why not SC?

Well I wrote to Nintendo and they finally answered:

Hello Roberto,

While I can understand your wanting to see Super C on the Wii's Virtual Console in Mexico, it is only available in the United states and Canada.

I apologize if this causes you any inconvenience.

Sincerely,

Yeah it doesn't help very much. "thanks" Ninty.

Haha, that's pretty bad even for a typical PR response. At least you can change your region setting, though I understand you wish you didn't have to. I wouldn't either.

Come on, friends,
To the bear arcades again.
