One of the bad things about digital distribution is that when the games are taken off the servers, they are gone for good. So, what games have you downloaded that were later pulled from their service? This can go for VC, WiiWare, XBLA, PSN, or any other source. Here are mine:

Would the Four Swords anniversary count? Its not like the others where we had no clue that it was going to be removed. Four Swords said from the beginning that it was around for a limited time.

Hang on is Cave Story getting removed or is that just speculation? I'm intending to buy it at some point.

Supposedly the DSiware one is getting updated on the 3DS with widescreen and some extra stuff. The original might just get pulled and have the updated version be put up as 3DSWARE.

Thanks - I don't have a 3DS so was talking about the Wiiware version. As long as it's still going to be up there I'm happy - I'll get it as soon as I have the cash spare.

I better get it before they update it - $10 is already too much for it, I don't want to pay more than that just to play it in 3D.

Just to clear up any misconceptions: Cave Story eShop will replace Cave Story DSiWare only on the eShop, so if you have a DSi you have nothing to worry about. And I highly doubt that the new version will be higher in price--it's replacing the original so that they can price it reasonably (I'd say $8-10).

Correct me if I'm wrong @Mickeymac, but I never stated that nobody cared. I just stated how this thread really doesn't supply a significant purpose for anyone. Unlike this one, most threads in these forums serve some type of purpose: recommendations, voting, nostalgia, debate, gameplay description, etc... I just don't understand the importance of informing others about downloadable games you own that are no longer obtainable. I downloaded, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles". When or how will that information ever benefit anyone else? Do you understand what I was stating now?
