I know these kind of questions are asked all the time, but I want to know what people think.
Thanks

Depends on the genre, to be honest. What kind of games do you like?

Super Mario Bros. 1, 2, or 3 are really enjoyable.
Zelda 1 or 2 are up for grabs even though the original is preferred.
Mega Man 2
Metroid
or even Excitebike

All of the above are great NES classics that are available on the VC
though there is many more!

"Nintendo fans are all talk. Nintendo fans are vocal with their mouths, but when it’s time to open their wallets, they’ll spend that $60 on New Super Mario Bros instead." - Activision

basically anything, i already own the classics like the super mario bros., the zeldas, punch out and kid icarus. What about the Castlevania games, I recently purchased Super Castlevania IV but am holding off to see if the earlier ones would be worth trying out before eventually moving on to it.

If you like Zelda, pick up Star Tropics. I prefer it to the original Zelda, and once you play it you'll see why it's comparable. Bubble Bobble is great, but I'd advise you to get the new WiiWare version instead.

Um.

River City Ransom if you like quirky beat-em-ups.

And I second the suggestions on some classic Mega Man titles. Mega Man 2 and Mega Man 3 are awesome. Mega Man 1 is very good, but doesn't hold a candle.

I haven't played the sequel myself. No idea why...for whatever reason, I just saw Star Tropics as a completely isolated gaming experience. I really should pick up the sequel at some point, but...for whatever reason I haven't yet.

Glad you enjoyed ST though. One of my all-time favorites.

Kirby's Adventure,it is very fun and easy to play. Best graphics on the NES,and it is the pinnacle of NES gaming.
Listen to me,buy it.

I know ill get hate for this but I never liked any of the kirby games,I just really never been that into them that much. I will admit however that Kirby Dream Course is one game that Ihave been thinking about getting for the longest time, confusing I know.

Most people think that Castlevania I and III are must haves, and I agree, but I am also one of the few who enjoy Castlevania II. I love the flame whip!

Yeah, Kirby's Adventure was awesome. Pretty long game for a NES game. Besides, the copy abilities are fun.

I don't like the Kirby games either. In Kirby's Adventure, the jumping/floating always felt off.

My two NES games are Balloon Fight and Elevator Action; if Taito doesn't start servicing the VCA some more I may break down and get Front Line as well, though I'm wary of the NES port.

Arcade ports FTW!

Get Donkey Kong 3, too. Woefully underrated gem few people got to play. It's one of my favorite score-based VC games.

I still hadn't posted in here & clearly forgot to mention the 3 NES Ninja Gaiden games; those I highly reccommend since they are some of my favorties! ;)
